Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Miles after miles drive early morning towards the west from Kampala through Mubende. You will have a combination of wonderful views of beautiful hills, valleys, extensive savannah vegetations, the Nakayima tree, etc. En route to Fort portal for lunch and after, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Kasese following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range reaching late afternoon. Game viewing is one opportunity to seeing "the Big Five" i.e. the elephants, lions, hippopotamus, buffaloes and leopards or hyenas among others. In the afternoon, go sightseeing in the crater regions - it is a marvel! Visit the katwe salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge or Institute of ecology (full board). Day 2: Game drive and game viewing and launch cruise. After breakfast, meet with your game ranger for a short brief and then go for a game drive. It is an excellent opportunity to view variety of wildlife early morning. You will be able to see have lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffaloes, elephants, defassa water bucks, the Uganda kobs, topis and bushbucks, etc. Return to the lodge/camp for lunch. In the afternoon, go for launch cruise on the Kazinga channel and into lake Edward. The trip continues through possibly the highest concentration of hippos, crocodiles and many other animals may be seen drinking at the water edge. The launch cruise is also an excellent plat form for photography, birding and game viewing. It’s an ideal place for Uganda’s most valuable safaris. Birding is colorful, return to the lodge, thereafter, to relax at own leisure activity. Dinner and overnight at white house hotel in Kasese or Mweya safari lodge or Jacana safari lodge (full board). Day 3: Return to Kampala. Early morning after breakfast, go for Nature walks in the Maramagambo forest before embarking on your return journey to Kampala. You will lookout for pythons, bats, primates, forest birds, etc. There will be brief stop at the equator for photography. Thereafter, to en route to Kampala arriving late evening.
