Tour Itinerary:
The first stop is Smederevo – the last capital of the medieval Serbian state. Visit its main square with a beautiful church and the well-preserved fortress on the banks of the river. Then drive to Kostolac, to see the Roman ruins in Viminacijum. Next, pass by Golubac castle, a medieval ruin situated at the entrance to the Djerdap Gorge. The drive continues along the Danube with the highlight of the day: the majestic natural setting of the Djerdap/Iron Gates national parks - with stops along the way at prime picture locations. Turn around when you reach the Iron Gates Dam, and return to Belgrade in the late afternoon hours. Lunch en route can be arranged upon request.
