Day 1: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We’ll leave after breakfast to take the journey from Kampala through Uganda’s beautiful green undulating countryside to Mbarara; we’ll have lunch en route and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We’ll arrive in the afternoon at Simba Safari Camp. Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise. We’ll take an early morning game drive around the park. Look out for the prides of lions and herds of elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, kob, and giant forest hog! Upon return to the camp, we will have a substantial breakfast. In the afternoon, we’ll take the launch trip to explore the Kazinga Channel, where we’ll see scores of hippos, buffaloes and elephants on the banks of the Channel. The birdlife on the water is fascinating and we’ll see dozens of bee-eaters and pied kingfishers. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp. Day 3: Return to Kampala. After breakfast we start the journey back to Kampala stopping over at the equator for a short demonstration of the different hemispheres before proceeding to another stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. We will arrive in Kampala by early evening.
