Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Lake Mburo National Park and Quad Biking Safari. After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The park contains a variety of attractions; it is dominated by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests, which harbors a variety of plants and animal species. These diverse ecosystems render the park to be one of the richest in bio-diversity. The park is home to zebras, elands, buffaloes, impalas, roam antelopes, leopards, hyenas, hippos, bushbucks, and klipspringer. In the afternoon, enjoy a quad biking safari on the Ruroko circuit. The trips provide a wilderness experience beyond the confines of a vehicle. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo campsite. Day 2: Horseback Safari and Boat Cruise. You will go on a horseback safari in the morning, with a packed breakfast. The activity is tailor-made to your experience and requirements. This ride will be a wonderful opportunity to view game up-close; look out for zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, topis, elands, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Return to the campsite for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo; you will have a chance to see crocodiles, monitor lizards, pelicans, hippos, herons and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo campsite. Day 3: Game Drive and Return to Kampala. After early breakfasts, go on a final game drive in the park. Afterwards, head back to Kampala having lunch en route, with a stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop over at the equator for photographs. You will arrive in Kampala by early evening. Member discount: Notes: The tour cost depends on the number of people. The more people sharing the cost, the less expensive the trip! The cost of the trip also depends on type of accommodation. The accommodation on this trip are bandas (shared dorms). Upgrading accommodation is possible, as well as organizing camping safaris, depending on preference.
