This tiny town founded in 1985 whose population reaches 300 inhabitants has been declared the National Trekking Capital. This is the perfect place to enjoy the solitude of this enchanted land, where nature reigns and where man has left very few traces.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: El Calafate/El Chaltén. Transfer by regular bus line to El Chaltén. Reception and accommodation. Depart on a trekking to Pliegue Tumbado, the only place in the area where you can see the entire panorama of the most important mountains of Patagonia: Mt. Torre and Mt. Fitz Roy. A wondrous unforgettable image that will be printed in your heart indelibly. Return to the hotel. Day 2: El Chaltén. Continental breakfast. Full day trekking to Río Blanco Glacier, passing by Mt. Rosado and Mt. León. Border Chorrillo del Salto river, where a breathtaking view of the Fitz Roy and Saint Exupery massifs is observed. Walk to the Capri Lagoon, enjoying a stroll along mountains, rivers, forests, the beautiful scenery of Patagonia, world renowned for trekking. Continue to Río Blanco up to the camp site to initiate the ascension to Laguna de Los Tres, at the foothill of Mt. Fitz Roy (8 hours). Day 3: El Chaltén/El Calafate. Continental breakfast. In the morning, optional trekking to Torre Lake, skirting the Fitz Roy River, and through a lenga wood where it's common to see the red head woodpeckers and a covey of parrots. Arrival at the camp site, base of the climbing expeditions and continue to Bridwell Camp with an excellent panoramic view of Torre Lake, Las Adelas Glacier, Torre Glacier and Mt. Torre (6 hours). Return to the town and in the afternoon, transfer to El Calafate by regular bus line. Reception at the bus station and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Day 4: El Calafate. Continental Breakfast.
