Day 1: Arrival – Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, our representative / tour guide will meet and greet you at the airport in Hanoi City and transfer to your hotel in downtown. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi city tour - Sapa. After breakfast, enjoy our sightseeing of Hanoi city to enjoy the essential sites including The Ho Chi Minh Complex and The Temple of Literature, the Museum of Ethnology, Ngoc Son Temple and picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. To complete the day, take a cycling tour through the historic Old Quarter and explore the many markets streets dedicated to a variety of local wares. Then, enjoy a traditional water puppet show for sampling this Vietnamese unique art of water puppet performance. After the 1 hour performance, join your guide and tantalize your taste buds with the traditional flavors of Vietnamese food and enjoy a complimentary dinner, courtesy of Vietnam tourism JSC and transfer you to the station to catch night train to Sapa. Day 3: Sapa. The train arrives in Lao Cai at 05:00 am. Drive uphill to Sapa. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa is the former hill retreat for French administrators when the heat in plain became unbearable. The remoteness and simple lifestyle of ethnic minorities are a highlight of Sapa although conditions are very basic. After checking into hotel we can soak up the fresh climate as much as we want by spending time to wander around. The ethnic people are frequently seen in this hill town and small vendors along the street sell local textiles and handicraft. In the afternoon, we trek to Cat Cat village (2 km from Sapa town) where you will visit the village of Black H’mong hill tribes. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Sapa Valley. Back to hotel. Day 4: Sapa - Hanoi. This morning, trekking to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages inhabited by Black H’mong and Dzay ethnic minorities. Enjoy amazing and breath-taking landscapes of terraced paddies, green valleys and meet with friendly local people. Back to Sapa. In the afternoon, we transfer you back to Lao Cai station to take night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay. After breakfast, discover Halong Bay by approximately 3 hours drive through the rural villages of northern Vietnam. It is the most beautiful place in Vietnam. It’s also the most famous World Natural Heritage in Vietnam. Halong Bay comprises 1,969 islands of various sizes, 989 of which have been given names with extraordinary shapes. We board our Chinese-style junk boat (or Western-style junk) for an overnight cruise on stunning Halong Bay - the perfect opportunity to explore limestone caves dotted around the bay, soak up the sun on the top deck, swimming or go kayaking. Tonight enjoy some fresh seafood with the group for dinner before settling in to your air-conditioned cabin on board the junk. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 6: Halong - Hanoi – Hue. Breakfast will be served on board. Enjoy sun rise in the morning from the top of your boat. We then visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay before cruising back to the main harbour for your drive to Hanoi. The remainder of the day is free for shopping or to explore on your own, before boarding the train or your flight for Hue. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 7: Hue. Hue served as Vietnam's capital under the emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945 and the city’s regal past can still be seen inside the walls of the Citadel and the Imperial City. Touring the ancient Imperial Citadel and visit Thien Mu, a beautiful pagoda located right on the bank of Perfume River. Day 8: DMZ Site. In the morning we would start off to Demilitarized Zone on pick up van. On the way we would make a couple of stops at La Vang Church, Old Citadel of Quang Tri and Dong Ha Town for religious and historical exploration. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we would come to 17th parallel, Ben Hai River, Vinh Moc Tunnel and the Museum in the afternoon. This is unique excursion for better understandings of heavily hit location during the past wartime and on the growing path at recent time. After that we come to Cua Tung Beach for walking along sandy beaches, enjoying refreshing sea breath before carry on driving back to the city of Hue. Overnight in Hue. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 9: Hue – Danang - Hoi An. We will cross the high mountain pass of Hai Van where you ll have magnificent view of the South of China Sea. On arrival in Da Nang, you’ll have a brief visit to Cham Museum. After lunch, proceed to the UNESCO world heritage site of Hoi An, a beautifully preserved 17th century merchant town. Check in hotel and have relaxing and swimming at sandy Cua Dai Beach you can explore some sights of Hoian (best on foot or by bike). In the evening, we take a river trip and you will enjoy the scenery along the Thu Bon River and the general view of Hoi An Ancient Town. It transforms itself at night when many of the shóp hang lanterns outside. We ll transfer you back to the town and the rest of time at your own leisure. Overnight in Hoian. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 10: Myson Holyland - Hoi An. Depart for My Son to visit the Cham holy land – the World Heritage - Cultural center of the former Cham Kingdom and referred to as the "Angkor Wat" of Vietnam. The Cham ruins at My Son are well worth the slightly arduous journey needed to reach them. On arriving at the My Son area and after crossing a bamboo "Monkey Bridge" you will transfer to a local jeep for the last spectacular 3 km bump and jolt along a river gorge. Finally, a 500 m walk through lush hillsides, trees and brush, before emerging into the main site. Have lunch, return to Hoi An for walking through the ancient town to Chinese Assembly Hall and Temples, Old houses (16th century), Japanese Covered Bridge, Silk Street of Hoi An. Overnight in Hoian. Day 11: Hoi An - Quynhon. Depart at 8:00 am from your hotel at Hoi An to Quy Nhon - a small secluded beach city developing. Via exploring Chien Dan Towers- a group of three Red brick Cham towers built in the 13th century. Then, drive to the Son My (My Lai) Memorial in Quang Ngai province where the terrible massacre happened on March 6th, 1968 with the death of the 504 common people. After leaving Son My, stop at the famous Dang Thuy Tram policlinic which was called the name of a female doctor died in the Vietnam war, but the heroic spirit still lives in her well-known diary. Continue driving through the peaceful countryside, rice fields, salt fields at Sa Huynh and beautiful hills and along beautiful coast to Quy Nhon city. Relax at your hotel in Quy Nhon. Day 12: Quynhon – Nha Trang. Continuing south along Highway One we pass the salt, shrimp and fish farms that are the principal industries in this area. We also pass stunning coastal scenery around Dai Lanh, and take time to ride through villages, meet the locals and take photographs and arrive at the beach resort town of Nha Trang in the late afternoon. Overnight in Nha Trang. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 13: Nha Trang. Enjoy morning boat trip on Nha Trang bay to visit some island for swimming, have a pleasure time at Tam Island then proceed to fishing village for lunch. After lunch take a walk through this village to Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Disembark and return to hotel. Late afternoon take the orientation tour by cycle. Overnight in Nha Trang. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 14: Nha Trang – Dalat City of Love. Today we ascend Ngoan Muc Pass to the Central Highlands and the French hillside town of Dalat, a quaint hill station surrounded by pine forests and French villas. Overnight in Dalat. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 15: Dalat sightseeing full day. Dalat City - The former French colonial hill station town of Dalat was founded over 100 years ago by a French scientist, Dr Alexander Yersin. In the afternoon, we will visit the Summer Palace of the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai, and Hang Nga Guesthouse, known as the 'Crazy House' to locals because of its bizarre architecture. You may also wish to pay a visit to one of Dalat's most notable residents, Buddhist monk/artist, Vien Thuc. Overnight at hotel in Dalat. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 16: Dalat - Hochiminh. This morning we drive through splendid mountain terrain, as well as numerous coffee and tea plantations. We stop at a floating fishing village on Lake Langa before arriving late afternoon in Vietnam's largest city. Free at leisure until head our for a fine – dinning cruise in the evening. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Includes: (B).
Day 17: Hochiminh. After breakfast, see the best of Ho Chi Minh City on this private full-day tour. Visit the historic Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, followed by the architectural treats of French colonial Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office. Enjoy the culinary delights of traditional Indochine Restaurant, before visiting Giac Lam Pagoda, the bustling Chinese district of Cholon and Ben Thanh market - a shopping paradise. In the evening, experience the vibrant city lights of Ho Chi Minh City when you join the Bonsai for a memorable, two-hour dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Overnight in Saigon. Includes: (B).
Day 18: Cuchi – Caodai Temple. Have a great day trip from Ho Chi Minh with tour to Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai. Visit Tay Ninh, home of the unique Cao Dai sect which is a mix of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. After lunch, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground labyrinth from which the Vietnamese fought during the American/Vietnam war. Overnight in Saigon. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 19: Saigon - Mekong Delta - Can Tho. Our one day cruise excursion starts from Ho Chi Minh with a drive to Cai Be – Phu An where we will board the Cai Be Princess at around 10.00 am. The tour will start with the visit of Cai Be colorful floating market. We will proceed by the visit of some local home factories such as rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying processing.
The trip continues along the Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. During this cruise you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Stops on the way can be made uponrequest for particular visits or photos making. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people.
Lunch awaits you at Le Longanier restaurant at La Residence de Phu An resort, a superb Indochine style resort. You will then a short walk along a narrow canal to an air-conditioned vehicle that will transport you to Can Tho. Stay at hotel in Can Tho for a night. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 20: Cantho - Saigon. Experience the variety of life of the Mekong Delta. Visit the bamboo basket handicraft village and admire the natural beauty of the countryside environment. Discover a vintage rice mill and finally come face to face with thousands of birds at the Thot Not bird sanctuary, one of the wonders of South Vietnam! Includes: (B, L).
Day 21: Saigon – Departure. You will be collected from your hotel for a private transfer with your guide to the airport for departure flight home. Your Tour comes to an end. You can extend some day to Siem Reap (Cambodia), Mui Ne (Phan Thiet) or Phu Quoc Island. Includes: (B).
