This trip is jam packed with exciting venues, 12 days of adventure following the Dragon line as it meanders through Wiltshire, Glastonbury and down to Cornwall. We start and end our journey in the Wiltshire countryside where we explore the most amazing modern mystery of all – the crop circles. Here we’ll spend time in the fields, experiencing their magic and visiting the ancient sacred sites on the Dragon line, including Avebury, Silbury Hill, and special access inside Stonehenge out of hours. On to Glastonbury, the ancient Avalon where the legends of King Arthur and Merlin’s Mystery School abound, and today, still a strong spiritual centre with a quirky feel. In Cornwall, at our 2 locations we’ll visit magical places you’ll fall in love with – a fairy tale castle, stunning coastal scenery holding secrets of long ago, sacred valleys and wild moorland where holy wells, ancient stone circles and dolmen dot the wild landscapes.
This tour takes place before school gets out, so a lot of the places we’ll have to ourselves. Itinerary: Wednesday June 5th – Meet at 11am at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and drive to Wiltshire and our B&B in Devizes, lunching en route. After settling in go out to visit our first Crop Circle. In the evening we enjoy our “Welcome Dinner” at a charming country pub. Thursday June 6th – After breakfast visit the Silent Circle café, the “croppie” meeting place, before heading out to Avebury, visiting the largest Stone Circle in Europe and take in any Crop Circles in the vicinity. Whilst we are in this area, stop by The Henge shop in Avebury village. Enjoy dinner at a village country pub before the highlight of the evening, a visit to Stonehenge, where we have special access inside the stone circle for evening meditation. Friday June 7th – After breakfast we travel to Glastonbury, and after settling in to out B&B, take an inspirational walk to the top of Glastonbury Tor, visiting St. Michael’s tower, which caps the summit. Check out the topography of the landscape revealing zodiac and goddess features. We’ll have dinner tonight at one of the lovely restaurants in town. Saturday June 8th – Visit the peaceful Chalice Well with its healing waters and beautiful gardens. Return to town and browse around the eclectic array of unique and colourful shops. Depending on the tide, we’ll catch the boat one way and walk the causeway the other to get to and from the island to explore the castle and gardens. This is the extreme south west of England’s Michael and Mary ley lines and there’s definitely an amazing presence here - many people have had (especially angelic) experiences! Return to our B&B and explore the local area and on our travels find an interesting restaurant for dinner. Monday June 10th – We’ll spend today exploring the glorious landscape of West Penwith. Within this area are a multitude of unique sacred sites, and we’ll explore the best, including Men-an-Tol healing stone, Boscawen-un stone circle, Chun Quoit and Sancreed Holy Well. Relish the abundance of these sites in this very special part of England and enjoy the rush of antiquity which seems to be imbued here. Tuesday June 11th – After breakfast we travel to the magical North Cornwall coast, stopping for lunch in Boscastle, with its quaint cottages, picturesque harbour and stunning coastal scenery. After checking into our accommodation in its stunning cliff top location, take a walk through the wooded valley of St Nectan's Glen where a fairy like world exists. This is an area which is renowned for orbs appearing in photographs. Dinner is provided tonight. Wednesday June 12th – Today we’ll visit the holy well and chapel of Clether, a Celtic saint. Set in a beautiful valley with babbling brook, and meadow of wild flowers, one could not wish for a more peaceful and sacred place. Thursday June 13th – After breakfast, drive a short way along the coast to Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. Visit the castle ruins on the rugged Island site, with the atmospheric Merlin’s cave on the beach below. See the Bronze Age labyrinth stone carving and marvel at the unique scenery the stream carves down to the sea itself and then the stunning views from the cliff tops above. Dinner is provided tonight. Saturday June 15th – Today is our last day and last chance for any Crop Circle experiences, and group consensus decides what else we’d like to do this morning. Later, we’ll visit Michael Glickman, one of the “elders” of crop circle research, for “teatime” at his cottage. Here we’ll be enlightened by his unique insights into the Crop Circles and entertained by his witty humour. To top off our amazing journey we’ll enjoy our “Farewell Dinner” at a charming country pub.
