Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater Rim. 8:30 a.m. pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive one hundred thirty kilometers to Ngorongoro Crater rim via some vantage points. Hot lunch in the lodge and after lunch launch an easy walk along the Crater Rim for about three kilometers, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro highlands. Meet your vehicle for a ride back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in Serena Lodge, Sopa Lodge, Wildlife Lodge or Crater Lodge. Day 2: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Tour. Breakfast, then descend to the Crater floor for game drives where you can see all of the big five: rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant who live in this wonderful caldera along with others such as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, geese, storks, vultures and more. Lunch will be served in the picnic site at Ngoitoktok, a Hippo pool. After lunch, proceed with game viewing until 4:45 p.m. Ascend from the crater for dinner and overnight in Serena Lodge, Sopa Lodge, Wildlife Lodge or Crater Lodge (full board). Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park. Breakfast in Ngorongoro and then depart for Serengeti National Park with game drives en route. Arrive at the lodge in time for a hot lunch. After lunch it is optional whether you proceed with an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti or relax at leisure in the lodge before dinner and an overnight stay in Serena Lodge, Sopa Lodge, Wildlife Lodge, Kirawira Tented Camp, Ndutu Lodge or Migration Camp. Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park. Breakfast is followed by both morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park to look for lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocs and more. Lots birds include the Eurasia migrants. You will have all meals and overnight at the same lodge as the previous night. Day 5: Serengeti – Lake Manyara National Park. After breakfast, check-out and drive two hundred twenty kilometers to Manyara for a hot lunch. Rest and relax this afternoon by the pool waiting before dinner and an overnight stay in Manyara Hotel, Serena Hotel, Eunoto Lodge or Kururumu Tented Lodge. Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha. Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. followed by a short game drive in Lake Manyara Park. The park is home to tree climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, troops of baboons and birds such as flamingos, ostrich, Egyptian, geese and more. Depart at 11:00 a.m. for the drive back to Arusha for a hot lunch and to begin your trip home. Notes: Prices vary with choice of accommodations.
