The summit of the Island peak stands nearby to the south face of the Lhoste, one of the world’s larges ice wall, offering stunning views of beautiful Ama Dablam and Makalu.
Day 1: Arriving Kathmandu, traditional welcome by our representative and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you can enjoy the sites of Thamel, where you can find all kinds of good restaurants. The shops are never ending. You might be tired going around confusing street, but you want shop wondering around. You find all types of Nepal's eastern handicrafts, Tibetan carpets, and exquisite jewelers. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu. We give you a daytime to explore Kathmandu, the medieval capital while on the other side we prepare for trekking permits. Favorite destinations to get oriented are Kathmandu Durbar Square, the central cluster of incredible temples to Nepal's myriad deities, interlaced with stalls selling all manner of fascinating wares, or Swayambunath, the hilltop Buddhist monkey temple with it's characteristic "eye" in four directions. Both are a short stroll from the hotel, or a quick rickshaw ride. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Kathmandu. You can visit the Bhaktapur with our city guide. Bhaktapur is known for the fabulous art, culture, and lifestyle. The famous destinations of Bhaktapur are Nyatapola Temple, Pottery Square, Surya Binayak Temple, Changu Narayan, Nagarkot. You also can visit the different museums, namely National Art Gallery, the wood carving museum, and the Bronze and Brass museum. Meanwhile on the other side, we prepare for permits. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding. Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800 m). After having break, trek to the Phakding (2800 m). The trial drops steeply and then descends gently to the intersection of the Jiri trial at Chablung. From Chablung the trial crosses a stream. The trial descends steeply to the Kusum Kangru Khola and cross the local-style suspension bridge. Crossing the bridge, the trial climbs then contours around a ridge to Ghat. The trial climbs again to Phakding where you find a huge collection of lodges. You can climb to the gompa on the hill above Phakding for the view of the high peaks. Overnight.
Day 5: Phakding – Namche Bazaar. (Altitude: 3440 m). From Phakding the trial continues up the Dudh Kosi valley. The trial crosses a small stream. There is an excellent view of Thamserku. Trial climbs steeply over a rocky ridge then traverse high above the river to Benkar (2700 m). From Benkar the trial crosses the Dudh Koshi on a suspension bridge. The trial follows along the river and climb to Chomoa. The trial climbs a bit and descends steeply into a big valley. Trial climbs out of the valley to Monjo. Just beyond the Monjo, the trial enters the Sagarmatha National Park. The trial turns into a stream, upper trial to reach the main street of Namche. Overnight at lodge.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar. (Altitude: 3340 m). Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar. Namche is the administrative center for the Khumbu region and has a police check post. You can buy or rent any trekking material or climbing gear that you need. You can spend the day by taking a day hike to Thami, by visiting Khunde or Khumjung, or by relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar. You can also enjoy the slight show at night that is offered by hotels. Overnight at lodge.
Day 7: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche. (Altitude: 3867 m). There is a direct route from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche that starts at Chhorkung and then to Khumjung. From Namche Bazaar it is a one hour steep climb to Shyangboche. You can find few tea shops over here. You can have excellent view of Everest and Ama Dablam. Trial descends to Khumjung (3790 m). The Khumjung gompa possesses what is to be the skull of a yeti. There is Hillary school which succeeded in providing education for children of Khumbu. The trial drops steeply on a dusty trial to Phunki Thanga. It is two hour climb from Phunki Thanga to Tengpoche. The trial climbs steeply at first, then makes gradual ascent through forest and around mani stones as it follows the side of hill up to the saddle on which the monastery sits. Overnight at lodge.
Day 8: Tengboche – Dingboche. (Altitude: 4413 m). From Tengboche it is a short, steep and muddy descent to Devuche through a forest of birches, conifers and rhododendrons. You can see different types of birds such as Lophophorus (National bird of Nepal), Himalayan monal and impeyan pheasant which lives only at high altitudes. From crossing the Imja Khola on a steel bridge, the route climbs past some magnificently carved mani stones to Pangboche (3860 m). Following Panboche, the route enters the meadows above the tree line and reach the Shomare. The trial from Shomare ascends to Dingboche. Overnight.
Day 9: Dingboche – Chukung. (Altitude: 4730 m). The trial descends from Dingboche to Chukung. Overnight.
Day 10: Chukung – Island peak high camp. Trek to Island peak high camp from Chukung. Overnight.
Day 11: Climbing period of Island peak. This is the climbing period to climb of Island peak and back to base camp. Overnight.
Day 12: Base camp – Dingboche. Trek back from Base Camp to Dingboche. Overnight.
Day 13: Dingboche – Tengboche. Trek back from Dingboche to Tengboche. Overnight.
Day 14: Tengboche – Namche Bazaar. Trek back from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar. Overnight.
Day 15: Namche Bazaar – Lukla. Trek back from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. Overnight.
Day 16: Lukla – Kathmandu. Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 17: Kathmandu. Free stay at Kathmandu Valley and sightseeing.
Day 18: Departure. Transfer to airport for departure.
