Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Group meeting. Bus tour from the station. We will visit the crypt, the place where the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky, Cardinal Joseph Slipyi, Galicia-Volyn prince Yaroslav Osmomysl and other famous people were buried. Then Lviv University named by Ivan Franko the Powder Tower, Church of St. Casimir – the construction of the sixteenth century where the order of Reformer’s monks is now. Panoramic view from the High Castle – the place of city birth. Check in. Walking tour through “Old Lviv”. The introduction to the history and architectural character of the city. The passage of a unique medieval part of the city, entering the list of UNESCO World Heritage: Market Square, Latin Cathedral, Boim’s Chapel, the Tower of Kornyakt, Dominican Cathedral and many others. Visit the unique places of ancient city - the Armenian and Italian courtyards with their legends and fables. About 5:00 p.m. we offer a tour to Opera and Ballet Theater named by Salomiya Krushelnytska. If you wish we can offer you to visit the show or ballet (optional). We attend a performance at the Ukrainian Drama Theater named by Mariya Zankovetska. Day 2: Bus tour to the castles of Lviv Region. View of exposure in Oleskiy castle - the castle fortress 13 region. Oleskiy Castle – is the old Fortress, which eventually became the residence of the barons and was rebuilt in the style of the Italian Renaissance. Here was born and lived in King Jan III Sobieski, who gathered a large collection of works of art. Today the museum contains unique paintings, sculptures of 10-19th centuries. Pidgoretskiy Castle is the complex of defensive structures of 7-18th centuries. Also here is a Baroque church of 18th century. The palace is surrounded by ancient ramparts, ditches, and parks. Day 3: Excursion to the Museum of Folk Architecture and Lifestyle “Shevchenko's grove” which is in the open air. The exhibition of folk architecture with masterpieces of European importance where is also a church which was built in 18th century without any single nail. Excursion to “Lychakivskiy Memorial Cemetery” - a unique pantheon and museum of sculptures under protection of UNESCO. Famous people of Ukraine, Poland, German, Armenian and other countries were buried here, as well as poets, writers, artists and scientists. Day 4: Adventures of Underground Lviv. Tourists will visit the underground “Catholic Jesuits church” and underground halls of Pharmacy Museum "Under the Black Eagle", with thousands of ancient items and alchemist’s laboratory. In underground café "Golden Ducat" we will meet the ghost of "White lady". Also you can taste the most delicious hot chocolate in Ukraine or other sophisticated coffee drinks. Welcome to visit Lviv coffee houses and we will start our trip from Kulchytskiy’s cafes. And in our city you will also have opportunity to taste coffee in cafe “Under a blue bottle”. Day 5: At 9:00 a.m. departure from the city and at 12:00 arrive to “Manyavsky Skit”. It was founded in 1913 in the mountain Manyavska. Monks came in this area as ministers of Christ and faith-founders of a small monastery. This monastery was founded in the northeast of modern, at the distance of 820 m in a holy place of the Ukrainian Carpathians Mountains. The natural hole in the rock has a width about 4 meters and height about 1.5 meters. At 5:00 p.m. arrive to Yaremche (free time). Day 6: Departure to the village. Excursion on a narrow-gauge railway "Carpathian tram". Guide will tell you the history of railroads, traditions of the Carpathian region and many other interesting things. We will make several stops during the way. Road guide will tell you about the history and grandeur of the grid of narrow gauge railways, and their purpose. Also how successfully was made the last reconstruction of Carpathian railway line with a narrow range. On the route we will stop near the bridge over the river Myzunka and mineral springs "Goryanka". Besides, we will see “Shyrkovets” hanging swamps and cascade waterfall of Myzunka. After the trip to the station Mindynok, you can visit the former settlement of woodcutters scattered in the mountains in all directions. Lunch in the tram. Departure from Kalush to Yaremche. Day 7: We will go to the mountains hills were you can try gutsul’s national dishes (cheese, budz, vurda). Day 8: Yaremche - Pearl of the Carpathians. View of waterfalls. The tour across the city. On our road we will see cages with roe deer, deer and wild boars. We will experience picturesque cascades of mountain river Prut with its waterfalls and will visit the souvenir market. We offer walk on horseback to a waterfall "Maiden's Tears". This is a very beautiful waterfall with a mysterious name, its history you will learn from your guide. Gutsul’s party with a traditional food, dolls colorings and dancing. Day 9: Check out in Yaremche. Arrival to the city. We recommend to visit “Vernissage market” with their art products and leave our city with a nice piece of memory. We hold a farewell party in the company of batiar’s and we will be listening to exciting stories from the life of Lviv residents and visitors. Try delicious Ukrainian cuisine and immerse yourself in a medieval fairy tale. Return to the hotel. Day 10: Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. End of the tour. Notes: Prices:
