Days 1–4: After arriving into El Calafate you will be met at the airport and transferred to El Chalten, located in the stunning Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, and nestled quietly under the imposing peaks of Mount Fitzroy, named after the captain of the Beagle, who navigated Darwin’s Expedition of the area in 1834.
Enjoy a day out hiking in El Chalten, Argentina’s trekking capital, offering great views of Mount Fitz Roy. Get up close to the Viedma Glacier via a boat cruise on the Viedma Lake and a hike across the rocky promontory. Visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the earths most dynamic and accessible ice fields.
Crossing into Chile we arrive at Torres Del Paine National Park where we meet our support crew and vehicle.
Days 6–8: Breath-taking vistas await you on hikes to the Greys Glacier, French Valley and Las Torres. For non-trekkers we offer a fantastic “Torres Light” programme.
Day 9: We arrive to the port town of Punta Arenas and enjoy a unique dinner prepared by a talented local chef who uses unusual local flavours.
Day 10: Enjoy your morning exploring Punta Arenas before crossing the Straights of Magellan onto the island of Tierra Del Fuego.
Days 11-13:Visit a King Penguin colony on the way to Ushuaia, the most southerly city in the world. Take a cruise on the Beagle Channel to view wildlife and learn of the regions history. Explore Tierra Del Fuego National Park and arrive at ’the end of the road’: Lapatia Bay.
Depart Ushuaia with wonderful memories, and a new respect of our wonderful planet courtesy of Patagonia.
