Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Tana. Upon your arrival at the airport Ivato, our representative welcomes you and arrange to transfer to your hotel of convenience. Overnight at the hotel Anjary. Day 2: Tana - Antsirabe. We take the southern route, National Road Number 7 connecting Tana - Antsirabe. At sixty miles Ambatolampy Tana are a significant agglomeration between Tana and Antsirabe where one can visit a boiler shop. Can we continue to Antsirabe we also call the City of Water. The visit of a volcanic lake called Andraikiba is recommended for its beautiful carved stone bazaar, as well as horseback riding or canoe touring the lake. A small lake called "Tritriva" is also to see, just for the panoramic view of the plain Vakinakaratra. Overnight at Le Retrait (mid range) or Villa Camélia (top). Day 3: Antsirabe - Ambositra. 2 hours driving on the National Road Number 7 south brings you to Ambositra, a city known for its wood crafts (carved wood). Check for Sahambavy, Sahambavy is particularly known for its tea plantations. The latter are spread over 300 hectares. Overnight at the Lac Hotel (mid range). Days 6-8: Sahambavy - Andringitra. We leave Sahambavy the morning to continue to Fianarantsoa and Ambalavao. Visit the center of the paper and continue to Antemoro Andringitra National Park. Andringitra is 47 km south of Ambalavao along National Road Number 7 in the region of Upper Matsiatra. The park covers 31160 ha. Perched on the heights, its altitude varies between 650 and 2658 m. Concentrated endemism and diversity, biodiversity Andringitra is preserved by the provision of park slope and rock masses. Andringitra is one of the park more attractive because it has the form of fabulous landscape of hills, rock with beautiful waterfalls and plants. Camping (two nights). Last night at the Cottage Andringitra. Day 9: Andringitra - Fianarantsoa. Andringitra leaving to Fianarantsoa. Shopping center and transport hub, Fianarantsoa is connected by rail to Manakara on the east coast. Surrounding area, located 1200 meters above sea level in the highlands region of Betsileo, partially cultivated tobacco, rice, grapes and coffee. It also owns farms involved in livestock production, soap and oil factories. Local industries based on processing of rice, meat packing beef, brick making and woodworking. It is also here that we produce the best wine of the island. The varieties imported by the French and Swiss, give red wine, rosé and white wines to taste fruity enough, which is tasted in the cellars of the vineyards surrounding the city. Former headquarters of the Christian missionaries, it is considered the intellectual center of Madagascar and there are many bookstores. Overnight at the Hotel Sofia (mid range), or Zomatel (top). Day 10: Fianarantsoa - Manakara. The train ride will give you the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle peasant highlands. At each stop the train will give you a vision of the various facets of daily life of each ethnic group along the route. Overnight at the Hotel Parthenay (mid range). Day 11: Manakara - Ankaramalaza - Andemaka. Manakara leaving early to join Ankaramalaza. It is a small city that has a center of worship and revival movement of Christians of Madagascar, these spiritual meetings are held once every year. After this visit, we take a canoe, means of locomotion and highly appreciate the most use in the region to join the community of Andemaka. Camping along the shore. Day 12: Andemaka - Farafangana. On the road again for the city of Farafangana, which houses one of the largest cities in the South-east of the island. Visit the city and its environs. Overnight at Hotel Austral (mid range). Days 13-14: Farafangana - Manombo. On the road again for Manombo a special reserve which is home to 8 species of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs eulemur whose cinereiceps varecia, variegata variegata, microcebus rufus, avahi laniger, lepilemur and hapalemur riseus and various species of land snails and other mammals as: limnogale mergulus, eupleres goudoti, cryptoprocta ferox brachyuromys betsileonsis, nesomys audebert. Birds: Fifty eight (58) species, including: galidia elegans ardeola idea. Reptiles which leptosomus discolor, boa madagascariensis, amphibians: with mantella bernhardi endemic Manombo fish: endemic to the region as bedotia pantanodon, paratilapia. The entire Special Reserve Manombo shows exceptionally diverse flora. Of the five endemic families currently identified, four are identified: the asteropeiaceae, physenaceae the sarcolaenaceae and aphaerosepalaceae. 65.05 per cent of the identified species are endemic to Madagascar. Return to Farafangana and overnight at Hotel Austral (mid range). Day 15: Farafangana - Sandravinany. Farafangana leaving early in the morning, our journey continues south to the town of Sandravinany for a day of relaxation on the shores of its beautiful beaches and lobster at will. Overnight in a bungalow (mid range). Day 16: Sandravinany - Nampohana. From Sandravianany you reach the reserve Nampohana which is a private reserve, bought by Air Fort Services Agency there are about five years. Endemic species of lemurs and chameleons to exist and can be discovered while doing a little boat ride along on a river that runs alongside the reserve. Overnight in a bungalow (mid range). Day 17: Nampohana - Berenty. Your day will absorb you for visiting the reserve. In 1936, the family decides Heaulme protect animals from a gallery forest of century-old tamarind trees bordering the River Mandrare, but also the "thicket" characteristic of southern Madagascar in an area adjacent to the reserve. Day 18: Berenty - Andohahela - Fort Dauphin. Berenty, you take off for the Andohahela national park where you will see the thorny plants of the tropical forest of southern large island. 13 species of lemurs, 120 bird species and varieties of amphibians and reptiles live there. There are also different kinds of palm trees such as palms triangular Ravinala also called the Tree of Travellers who makes famous Andohahela. Then you will continue your trip to Fort Dauphin. Overnight at Hotel Lavasoa (mid range) or Kaleta hotel (top). Day 19: Fort Dauphin - Tana. A transfer will be provided by your hotel to the Airport Fort Dauphin.
