Transylvania is a mountain biking paradise. The rides will take us to high mountains along pristine singletrack through Oak and Pine forests. This trip is based in Bran, a small town that became famous because of Dracula´s legend. And we will have the chance to visit Draculas castle! The last day in Bucharest is like traveling in time - a fascinating cultural experience.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Bucharest/Bran. Meeting at airport in Bucharest. Transfer to Bran.
Welcome and bike assembly. Lodging: B&B in Bran.

Day 2: Bran - Moeciu - Bran (50 km/31 mi). First loop ride of the week, starting and finishing in Bran. We will be riding in the Piatra Craiului mountain range exploring its spectacular canyons. The ride will take us all the way to 1400 meters of altitude before we start a fun downhill back to Bran. Lodging: B&B in Bran.

Day 3: 7 Ridges ride (35 km/22 mi). Today we have a quite challenging and technical ride. We will mostly be riding on singletrack, through ancient pine forests, covering seven ridges of the Carpathian underhills. Lodging: B&B in Bran.

Day 4: Bran - Sohodol - Bran (23 km/14 mi). Easier recovery ride. We will complete another loop around Bran. In the afternoon you will have time to visit Draculas castle, in Bran, or the charming town of Brasov. Lodging: B&B in Bran.

Day 5: Fundata - Bran (29 km/18 mi). Early morning transfer by bus (40min) to Fundata, the highest village in Romania (1360 meters). Most of the day will be spent going downhill but expect some technical uphills too! We will pass by the villages of Sirnea, Pestera, Magura and Moeciu, and we will have the chance to try some of the excelent local cheeses.
Lodging:  B&B in Bran.

Day 6: Busteni - Bran (37 km/23 mi). Early morning transfer by bus (1 h) to the town of Busteni where we will hop on a cable car that will take us all the way to the mountain plateau. The views from the top are amazing with several glacier valleys in site. The first part of the ride will take us along the former patrol road in between Transylvania and Valachia. The second part of the ride is the most expected downhill run of the week: 14 km of fun all the way back to Bran, through lush forests! Lodging: B&B in Bran.

Day 7: Transfer to Bucharest. Early morning transfer to Bucharest. Free day to explore the unique capital of Romania. Farewell dinner in town. Lodging: Hotel in Bucharest.

Day 8: Return flight. Transfer to airport in Bucharest. Return flight.
