Tour Itinerary: Day 1: (by car) Airport - Bucharest. What comes into your mind when you think of the capital of Romania? You usually think of Bucharest, as the little Paris, a city with a bohemian spirit. What about the medieval side of it? It is worth visiting, I can tell – visiting the old city center, with narrow streets and old buildings, the People’s House, nowadays known as the Palace of Parliament, having lunch in the oldest restaurant, "Carul cu Bere" (the Beer Cart) where traditional dishes will satisfy your tastes, and having promenades in the evening on the Victoriei Avenue, where cultured people used to take long walks. Day 2: (by car) Bucharest - Pitesti - Ramnicu Valcea – Horezu - Curtea de Arges - Transfagarasan Road. On our way towards Transfagarasan Road, we will visit Curtea de Arges Monastery, the most important pilgrimage and prayer place in Arges County. The visitor’s attention will be captured by the mural paintings in oil made by French and Romanian painters. The name of the monastery is strictly connected with the craftsman Manole’s legends that you will discover at the monastery. Next, we will visit Horezu Monastery, located in Valcea County, at the foothills of Capatanii Mountains. It is the most representative construction of the Brancovenesc style. A place of worship, build during Constantin Brancoveanu reign, Horezu Monastery is now included in the UNESCO patrimony. After lunch, we will admire the pottery workshops, a millenary tradition which started as a complementary activity and became a work of art. By taking part in their activity we will appreciate more their work and their work of arts. In the evening we will reach our accommodation place on Transfagarasan Road. This is the most spectacular road from Romania as it crosses the most impressive and imposing mountains from our country, Fagaras Mountains for 151 km. This road is a challenge for both cars and drivers. In the lately afternoon we will enter in the park adventure from Capra where you can test your climbing skills and courage. Day 3: Hike on Valea lui Stan. In our attempt to conquer the beauties of Fagaras Mountains, we will hike on a short mountain path (Valea lui Stan) where the waterfalls are wonderfully combined with the climbing stairs. On our way back to our accommodation place we will cross in kayaks the Vidraru Dam. Day 4: (by car) Transfagarasan Road - Sibiu - Sighisoara - Brasov - Bucuresti.
