Snow storms, blusters or beautiful blue sky, glimmering sunshine above snowy white spaces – it all makes you 100% connected with nature. Sometimes it might be a bit extreme – but everything is always safe and under control. During the hike you can stop at a mountain lodge to have a rest, to eat something or to have a refreshing drink or perhaps a drink of mulled wine and everything tastes ten times better than normal.
DAY 1 Arrival at Wroclaw (optional at Prague); sightseeing (optional; depends on the time of arrival); lunch; transfer to the hotel (check-in); welcome meeting; dinner, free time. DAY 2 Breakfast, transfer to the starting point (Babiniec Hill). The trails lead through wild, picturesque forests, wetlands, plateaus and the main ridge with fantastic views. Stop for rest and lunch at the Hala Szrenicka (mountain hostel). Descend to the Kamienczyk waterfall – short break to get some rest and for some hot tea or mulled wine. Walk to Szlarska Poreba. Transfer to the hotel. Supper. DAY 3 Breakfast, transfer to the Szklarska Poreba. At the first along the yellow trail called Stara Droga (Old Route) to the top of the Karkonosze range (around 1400 meters 4593 feet above the sea level). The path goes through gradually changing scenery, at the beginning slowly meanders through coniferous forest then enters open spaces with magnificent views of other mountain ranges (e.g. the Izerskie Mountains) to finish at the top of the range where weather conditions can be quite extreme and so much different than in the lower parts of the mountains. We will join the Main Sudetes Trail which leads along the Karkonosze Mountain ridges to Twaroznik (Polish – Czech border crossing) towards Mokra Przelecz. We will then come down to the mountain hostel for lunch. After that descend on the Czeska Sciezka (Czech Trail) to the Stara Chata Walonska (Old Walonski Cottage) – rest by the fire with mulled wine. Transfer to the hotel. Supper. DAY 4 Breakfast, transfer to the Szklarska Poręba. We take a mountain lift to Szrenica (around 1362 meters 4467 feet above the sea level) and cross to the Czech side towards the source of the river Laba. Traverse on the Czech side of the Karkonosze. Breaks along the way in some of the most picturesque located mountains lodges and hostels. We will climb to the very top of the Karkonosze Mountains and descend to the mountain hostel Spindlerova Bouda crossing on the way open spaces of the mountain hills. Lunch and rest at the hostel. Next we will come down to the Przelecz Karkonowska (Karkonosze Pass) (Czech – Polish border crossing) along the tourist trail leading along Kozacka Dolina (Cossack Valley) and reach a mountain village Przesieka (on the Polish side). Transfer to the hotel. DAY 5 Day off – time to relax or for activities: swimming pools, sauna, spa & wellness, gym, bowling, squash; a walk to the town, a visit to the local bars. DAY 6 Breakfast, we will begin out journey at the entrance to the Karkonoski Natinal Park in Upper Karpacz. We will follow the trail to the mountain hostel Samotnia on the Small Pond a place of particular scenic beauty – rest there. Next a climb to the top of the Karkonosze range. Then we will go around rocky precipices reaching Maly and Duzy Staw ( Smal and Big Pond). Descend along granite rocks of Slonecznik (Sunflower) and Pielgrzym (Pilgrim) and then gentle descend to the Wang Temple, dated from XIII century. A walk back to Karpacz to the hotel. Supper. DAY 7 Breakfast, departure from the hotel and on to a trail leading through the Sowia Dolina (Owl Valley) to the summit of the Karkonosze range (1200 meters 3937 feet above the sea level). A rest break there and a meal alfresco. Traverse on the Czech side across scenic open spaces and forests to the Przelecz Okraj (Okraj Pass) (Czech – Polish border crossing). Transfer to the hotel, dinner and free time – relax. Supper. DAY 8 Breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport. Notes: Price Includes:
