Surrounded by Bucegi National Park Mountains, Iezer and Leaota, the Rucar-Bran Lane is a place where the landscape is built to comply with our desires, a place that keeps the magnificence of the mountains nearby. This area has a special beauty and harmony which vibrates in the same range with our soul.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Bucharest – Campulung Muscel (visit the Negru Voda and Baratia Monasteries) – Mateias (visit to the Mausoleum) – Rucar-Bran Lane – Pestera (dinner and accommodation in a guest house). The first day allows us to get accustomed to the beginning of the Romanian national history, as the city of Campulung Muscel is the first capital of The Romanian Country, founded in the 13th century. Next, we will head towards the Mateias Hill, where we will visit the mausoleum, built in the memory of the Romanian soldiers that fought here in the summer of 1916, during the First World War.

Further on, the road takes us through the Rucar-Bran lane, in the heart of the mountains, this being one of the oldest merchants' trails that used to connect Transylvania and The Romanian Country. We will arrive at an altitude of 1240 m, where we will enjoy the stunning scenery of the surrounding mountains. From here, we will descent to Pestera village and proceed to our accommodation.

Day 2: Various activities on the Pestera – Magura route: visit to a traditional household and sheepfold, archery. This day is dedicated to various activities – archery, equitation, visits to traditional households and sheepfolds. You will have the opportunity to get involved in the everyday life of a household and sheepfold. Between Pestera and Magura villages, we will go on a short trip that will give you a beautiful view upon the surrounding mountains. In the evening we will have dinner in Pestera village, in the guest house that accommodates us.

Day 3: Pestera – Bran Castle – Rasnov Citadel – Brasov – Bucharest. During the last day, on our way back to Bucharest, we will visit the Bran Castle, an important historic and touristic monument. Further on, we will head towards the Rasnov Citadel, one of the most important citadels built by the Saxons of Transylvania, as well as towards Poiana Brasov, one of the most well-known winter resorts in Romania. Here, we will have lunch in a traditional restaurant and taste Romanian dishes. The next step is the visit of Brasov city, the most important city of Transylvania, founded by the Saxons in the 13th century. Brasov is the last stop in our tour and from here we will go straight to Bucharest.
