Travel along the Maya Route through the states of Yucatan, Campeche, Chiapas and Tabasco. Enjoy being pampered with four-course meals on the new luxury Maya Express train; re-live ancient history at the classic period Mayan center of Chichen-Itza and Uxmal; relax in the historical seaport of Campeche, retreat to your own little bungalow surrounded by the Chiapas jungle at Palenque, and soak up the beauty in Mexico's "Garden of Eden" in Villahermosa.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Merida. It is well known as the "Thie City because of the neatness and cleanliness of its streets and people. Transfer to your Mission Park Inn Hotel, excellently located within two blocks from the main plaza;

Day 2 - Breakfast will be our first official meal together as a group. Visit the outdoor railroad museum and the anthropoligy museum today. Housed in the most impressive mansion of the Paseo de Montejo, once the official home of the govenor, the regional museum of anthropology is a must-see. Mission Park Hotel. Includes: (B), (L), (D);

Day 3 - Transfer by van 2.5 hours to the historical ruins of Chichen-Itza. It is the most ocmpletely restored archeological site in the Yucatan. Upon return to Merida, tour the famous Paseo Montejo, the Central Park, the Cathedral and the historic center. Includes: (B), (L), (D);

Day 4 - Board the Maya Express Train for a 2.5 hour ride, then a half hour bus ride to Uxmal, decalred by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Completing our visit here, a transfer aboard the train to Campeche, located on the Gulf of Mexico.Spectacular light and shound show in the evening remembering the golden years of the Mayas. Day 5 – 8 hour train journey to Palenque, on anaural balcony that opens up to extraordinary jungle plains. Palenque is among the most aesthetically impressive ruins in Mesoamerica and has been decribed as the most beautiful Mayan ruin of all. Includes: (B), (L), (D);

Day 6 - Transfer to the ruins at Palenque. The ancient city reached its peak from the 6th to the 8th centuries A.D. All day visitation. Includes: (B), (L);

Day 7 - Agua Azul Waterfall and Misol-Ha waterfall tours. Transfer to Villahermosa and visit to "La Venta" Museum-Park. Magnificent remains of olmec sculptures and carved altars from the IV century can be seen. Includes: (B), (L), (D);

Day 8 - Depart Villahermosa. Includes: (B).
