The venue for sport events in Izerskie Mts. has been well known for years among the cross-country skiing enthusiasts from all over Europe as Piasts' Race. We offer cross-country routes which vary in length and difficulty with a total length of approximately 100 km (62 miles). You can choose from three kinds of routes:
- for competitive races - approved by FIS;
- tourist routes - a four-leaved clover shaped loop, where you can join or take another route;
- inhalation routes - they pass through spots where the air is filled with the scent of essential oils from trees and consist of four parts which vary in difficulty. They are interesting, offer various landscapes and terrain types as well as provide wonderful views of Mountain Bukovec and village Izerka, both located in the Czech Republic.
The Karkonosze Mounts.(part of Sudetes) offer a network of approximately 500 km (over 300 miles) of regularly maintained cross-country skiing tracks for experienced skiers as well as for beginners, beautiful views of the white peaks and over picturesque valleys, as well as enjoying nature on your own. The Krkonose, as the cross-country skiers’ paradise, with the Krkonoska Skiing Path as the key road serve thousands of people who enjoy cross-country skiing.
Day 1: Arrival at Wroclaw (optional at Prague); sightseeing (optional; depends on time of arrival); lunch; transfer to the hotel (check-in); welcome meeting; dinner, free time.
Day 2: Breakfast, transfer to the starting point (Babiniec Hill). The trail leads through wild, picturesque forests, wetlands, plateaus and the main ridge with fantastic views. Stop for a rest and lunch at the Hala Szrenicka (mountain hostel). Descend to the Kamienczyk waterfall – short break to get some rest and for some hot tea and mulled wine. Walk to Szklarska Poreba. Transfer to the hotel. Supper.
Day 3: Breakfast, transfer Jakuszyce. Cross-skiing along routs of your choice: leisure-tourist, competitive or inhalation located 752 to 1003 meter above the sea level (between 2467 and 3290 feet). There will be lunch break and a rest. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Supper.
Day 4: Day off – time to relax or for activities: swimming pools, sauna, spa and wellness, gym, bowling, squash; walk to the town, a visit to the local bars.
Day 5: Breakfast, transfer to Harrachov – mountain village on the Czech side of the Karkonosze Mountains where the Krkonoska Cross-Country Skiing Path has got its beginning. We will cover a route 25 km (15.5 miles) long. There is going to be a break for lunch and rest in a mountain lodge. The path leads through the upper parts of the Karkonosze and ends in Spindlerovy Mlyn (well known, Czech charming mountain town). Lunch and after that transfer to the hotel. Supper.
Day 6: Breakfast, transfer to the Okray Pass (Polish – Czech border crossing) located at 1046 meters (3431 feet) above the sea level. Skiing for around 30 km (almost 19 miles) along the Krkonoska Skiing Path on the West side of the Karkonosze Mountains. The starting point is at the Czech mountain lodge Pomezni Bouda and we travel to the mountain village Pec on Snezkou. Lunch break and a rest. Next, the second leg of the route to the village of Horni Marsov. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, free time. Supper.
Day 7: Day off – time to relax or for activities: swimming pools, sauna, spa and wellness, gym, bowling, squash; a walk to the town, a visit to the local bars.
Day 8: Breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport.
Transfers from and to the airport, local transfers, assistance of our representative from arrival to departure, instructors and guides, accommodation in double rooms in 3* or 4* hotel, board: BB, HB, FB(drinks are charged extra), medical expenses and accident insurance, admission and entry fees to tourist attractions and museums.
