The Lake Constance cycle route is the most popular cycle route in Europe. On this tour you will cycle around the entire lake and get to know three countries and four islands (Reichenau, Mainau, Lindau and Werd). The main highlights are the medieval towns of Konstanz, Stein, Meersburg and Lindau. In comparison to other cycle routes the daily routes are relatively short as there are a variety of places and attractions waiting to be discovered. You will be able to enjoy the amazing landscape of the lake against the backdrop of the Alps. The Alps, romantic villages and sleepy towns around the glistening lake. Be impressed by an unforgettable and fascinating landscape.
Tour Profile: The first stage is moderately hilly in the Höri region, otherwise the route is mainly even along tarred cycle paths. The path runs partially along the lake shore and partially along lake shore roads. Sporadically there are short, unfortified sections, around Friedrichshafen the cycle path runs parallel to the highway. The lake shore is mostly open to the public.
The Rental bike: Comfortable Unisex bikes in various frame heights, 7 gears with back peddle brake or 21 gears, kitted out with luggage bag or basket, puncture repair kit and bicycle lock. When rental bikes are booked there is always a repair voucher for small repairs of up to 20 Euro supplied, which can be used in most bicycle repair shops.
