Day 1: Airport pick up, to Mbarara. Arrive Entebbe, met on arrival and transfer by road to Mbarara on a good tarmac road. Along the way, stop at the Equator, and take pictures of the Ankole Long Horned Cattle and shop for a souvenir at the craft village. Meals and overnight either at Rwizi Arch Hotel or Agip Motel. Meal Plan - HB. Transit time: 6 hours. Day 2: To Bwindi. Breakfast early and depart for the Mountain Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge. Bwindi is one of the few Albertine Rift rainforest remaining in Africa. It supports 300-350 (Half of the world’s remaining) mountain gorillas. In the afternoon, take a self guided walk around the camp or along the Munyanga river. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Lodges - GFCor Mantana Bwindi Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan - FB. Transit time: 5 hours. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking.Early morning breakfast, travel to the base of the mountain for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek. After picnic lunches and drinks in the forest, an hour with a Gorilla family - One unforgettable experience, return to base for dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Lodges - GFC or Mantana Luxury Tented Camp. Meal Plan - FB. Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi. Breakfast at Leisure, before proceeding to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by gentle rolling hills (“the Switzerland of Africa”) and described as “the most beautiful lake in the world” Spend the afternoon at leisure on Bushara Island bird watching and/or fishing the local way. You may also opt for a boat ride to visit the local Batwa people who will perform a cultural dance. Meals and overnight at the Bushara Islands Camp or the Nature’s prime Islands camp. Meal Plan - FB. Transit time 3 hours. Day 5: To Kampala. After breakfast, depart for Kampala for lunch before proceeding to Entebbe International Airport for a late evening flight. Meal Plan - HB.
