5 Day Workshop
Our team will be leading 2-3 workout sessions each day that will be supplemented with yoga, hiking, and swimming. Take this opportunity… Change the way you think about exercise and nutrition. Learn to see the world around you as your gym. You’ll realize what is possible with the items in your home, backyard, or even hotel room; we call this opportunistic training. Fitness that matters… most of the machines and equipment in gyms have no application to real life scenarios. At our Revivals, you’ll train to move through the WORLD, not just the gym. Eat real foods. Our location features its own, fully organic garden where virtually ALL of your food will come from. You’ll be able to literally see what you are eating go from the garden to the plate. Proper Recovery. The only way to get stronger is through rest. That’s why in between training sessions you will have plenty of time to relax, eat, and enjoy your surroundings. Have fun! Our workouts will be new and intense, but more importantly we believe this will be the most fun you’ve ever had exercising. If you’re not feeling up to what we’re doing, we are more than happy to adjust the activity to fit your needs. Below is an itinerary for our 5 Day Revival. There may be slight modifications to the daily activities, however, the schedule below is a very accurate representation. We hope you look forward to some surprises and are ready to test yourself by living wild. Tour Itinerary (Wild Man Revival): Day 1: Arrive at the Lodge in the morning. Once you are settled in we’ll start off right by getting rid of our shoes and running barefoot. You’ll also do some lifting, swimming, and even hiking. After dinner we will further discuss our Wild Man philosophies follwed by an evening Yoga session. Day 2: This day will be divided into three parts. In the morning we will focus on running and jumping, the afternoon will emphasize lifting, and the evening will be dedicated to flexibility. We will have a meal after every session and snacks will be available all the time. Day 3: This is your active recovery day. After a morning warm-up and yoga session, the day is yours to relax and enjoy everything the ranch has to offer: You can lounge on the beach, swim in the pond, hike, collect edible plants and mushrooms or lay in a hammock. On this day we encourage our guests to listen to their bodies and do as they please. There will be food and snacks available all day long and we will finish the day off with a sunset yoga session and campfire. Day 4: Wake up feeling refreshed from the previous recovery day and prepare for interval circuit training workouts. Workouts will be shorter, but much more intense. An evening yoga session and hearty meal will cap off your day of hard work. Day 5: After a long and complete warm-up, prepare to test yourself through our Wild Man outdoor course. There will be feats of strength as well as tests of balance and endurance. This will be our final workout session of the Revival which will be followed by a fully organic, Montana feast. After some final thoughts we’ll pack up and take you back to the Lodge in Whitefish where you can grab an awesome local dinner and explore the town. From the garden to your plate! Quite a concept in the society we live in today. But believe it or not, this was how humans survived for thousands of years. The health benefits are numerous (i.e. protection against obesity, heart and renal diseases, cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis), the energizing effects are instant, and there is no denying the boost in overall wellness. You’ll eat Vegan for five days during our Revival. Our in-house Chefs will be sure to surprise and satisfy your taste buds with a variety of Vegan dishes. You will also be given the chance to gather wild foods (berries, mushrooms) from the land around you and learn how to incorporate these into your diet from our food experts. Come and experience the reviving feeling of eating an all-natural, organic, healthy, and delicious meal at every meal. We're proud to be working in conjunction with the Walking Lightly Ranch for our Fitness Workshops. Tucked in a mountain valley approximately 15 miles from Whitefish, MT, the 400 acre Ranch is situated in the far north-western corner of the state and is barely on the grid. State and National Forest border it on three sides, sheltering it from development and extending its hiking trails. The greenhouse and garden provide organic produce year-round. The beaver keep the spring-fed pond pristine by pulling weeds for their dams which is used for compost. Mountain lion, bear, deer, moose and coyote make their homes on the ranch. A vast array of bird life, including Red Wing Blackbird, Goshawk, Blue Heron, Sandhill Crane, Golden Eagle and Osprey, swirl around the pond. What is a Wild Man? (or Wild Woman)? The idea of a “Wild Man” came from 16th Century Europe when townspeople believed that Wild Men had left the town to live in the surrounding forests. The Wild Man was believed to have a connection to nature and possess incredible strength. His main characteristic was ‘wildness’ - Occurring, growing, or living in a natural state. We believe that society today has lost the idea of Wild Man and without being ‘wild’ we’ve become unhealthy, uninspired, and unhappy. Through our Revivals we’re bringing back the Wild part of being a human – a necessary part of our society and culture. Three things that we believe are inherent to a Wild Man are Wildness, Passion and Purpose. Limited spots available for summer: - 5 Day Revival: * June 23-27 * June 30-July 4 * July 7-11.
