Safari Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Livingstone, Zambia. Met by tour operator. Afternoon at leisure to explore Livingstone and/or site see Victoria Falls. Over night camp near the Falls.

Day 2: Early morning dept from Livingstone to enter Kafue National Park by the southern most gate, travelling north through the Park to camp on Nanzila Plains.

Day 3: Continue north through the park via Itechi-Techi dam, follow a rural road through Game Management Areas, over night camp on the Kafue river bank (Optionally take walks and drives with local guides to explore the game, flora and fauna in the area).

Days 4-5: Crossing the main east/west road, enter the northern sector of Kafue National Park. Camp for two nights at a site beside the Lufupa River. Game drives during the day as you explore this and the Busanga Plains area.

Days 6-7: Leaving Kafue via North Gate travel north west for two days via Kasempa, Mufumbwe, amd Kabompo. Over night camp en-route and at West Lunga National Park.

Days 8-9: Arriving at Mwinilunga camp for two nights in the Zambezi Source Nature Reserve. Explore the source of the great river, taking cooling dips in the rapids and streams.

Day 10: Leaving the area and heading south via Mutanda Falls and Chingola Chimp Orphanage. Overnight camp en-route.

Day 11: Reach Lusaka. Overnight camp at a camp site near the airport on the Great East Road.

Day 12: Continue to Livingstone where the safari ends late afternoon.

Optional the safari may be extended by two days as follows to visit Lochinvar National Park between Lusaka and Livingstone.

Days 12-13: Leaving Lusaka, turn off at Monze to visit seldom visited Lochinvar National Park. Camp for two nights. Explore the park or simply chill out watching the many plains game and bird life.

Day 14: Continue to Livingstone where the safari ends late afternoon.

A word about this safari: This safari is run on a semi-participation basis whereby a driver/guide will accompany clients, to do the cooking and serve meals. It is expected that clients will erect and take down their own tents.
