Day 1, SUNDAY, ATHENS: Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 2, MONDAY, ATHENS - CRUISE: Morning sightseeing tour of famous monuments Athens: Parliament, University, National Library and Academy, Ilion Palace, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Panathenian Stadium and many other mythical monuments. Tour ends with a visit to the spectacular Acropolis. In the afternoon, transfer to the port of Piraeus to board the cruise ship for 7 days / 6 nights for the Greek islands and Turkey. We go along the Athens Riviera in the Saronic Golf to the south end of Attica passing close to the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. This afternoon is a good opportunity to get around and know your ship and the services we provide.
Day 3, TUESDAY, SANTORINI: One of the jewels of the small archipelago five volcanic islands is undoubtedly Santorini. Santorini was created due to a volcanic eruption culminated in the explosion of a volcano caldera, hence its rugged landscapes dotted of huge cliffs. Santorini's capital, Fira, is located on top of the beautiful island where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the bay. We reach Fira by funicular using half as funny transport by donkey or walking the 588 steps separating the port from the city. Discover the Santorini villages that preserve their authenticity, with beautiful blue and white buildings and barren volcanic rocks. It is an extremely fascinating and picturesque island. A magical place that has nothing to do with the rest of the Greek Islands, a place to spread the peaceful and hospitable nature of its inhabitants.
Day 4, WEDNESDAY, MARMARIS (OPTIONAL VISIT TO RHODES): To the south west of Turkey, in the province of Mugla, we find the beautiful coastal city of Marmaris. Because of its strategic location is an important meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea with the Aegean Sea, and thus the port activity and Tourism is important. Its proximity to the Greek territory created a ferry service to the island of Rhodes (optional excursion) to stop cruise crowd. A lush natural setting with excellent water sports. Tourism is one of the main income sources because it has a large center nautically popular along with two large marinas and more small. Marmaris is a city where find a large variety of Turkish souk, typical quality items like leather, copper, jewellery and carpets. A walk very popular is to go for the Boulevard from the beach or the street Bars Old Town and taste products typical of the area as honey or enjoy a Marmaris folk show. Another attraction tourist part of its pristine beaches is the Castillo, after its restoration in 1979, became in a magnificent museum with seven galleries and courtyard decorated with seasonal flowers.
Day 5, THURSDAY, IZMIR (EPHESUS): Today enjoy this magnificent city, Izmir, located on the coast of the Aegean Sea and being the third Turkey's largest city. Its port is the second in importance of Asia Minor after Istanbul. Great part of the city was destroyed by fire in 1922, but retains many mosques and churches and beautiful old houses that overlook their narrow streets. Smyrna, as per Greek name,has one of the seven churches of Revelation, the Church of St. Polycarp. For a different angle the city has a cable car that climbs 420m above sea level, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings and the Aegean Sea, almost always sunny, in all its fullness. This is a city of beautiful beaches where we can enjoy water sports or sunbathing. Smyrna is considered, despite its great wealth historical, as the most modern and modernized city of Turkey.
Day 6, FRIDAY, ISTANBUL: Morning arrival to the mythical city of Istanbul. A full day in this ancient city with elegant countless minarets and mosques. The mixture of East and West has resulted in some of the most impressive architectural monuments worldwide as Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Another essential thing that must experience in Istanbul is to be lost in the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest markets in the world of its kind, where the colours and smells of the mountains of spices, multicolour clothes and gold and silver work intoxicate us for hours. Haggling is, of course, the norm throughout purchase.
Day 7, SATURDAY, AT SEA: Enjoy a full day on board, both relaxing and soaking up the sun, reading a good book from the library, running for a prize with one of the quizzes or learning some new Greek dance steps. Start the evening with your favourite cocktail in one of the lounges of on deck and after a delicious dinner; enjoy an international show time, disco and casino.
Day 8, SUNDAY, MYKONOS: Our cruise calls at Mykonos, known worldwide as the Aegean Ibiza, a most popular Mediterranean destination. Know the streets of their capital that are considered the most beautiful of the Greek Islands and enjoy great night life too. It's easy to get lost in its labyrinth of gleaming white walls dotted with windows and blue domes and balconies overflowing with flowers. No to miss the visit to the Sanctuary of Delos in honour of the Greek God Apollo, which can be reached after a delicious boat ride.
Day 9, MONDAY, PIRAEUS – ATHENS: Morning arrival at the port of Piraeus. Disembarkation after breakfast and transfer to your hotel in Athens. Free day with the option to purchase half day tour to Cape Sounion which is the most southern tip of Attica. In Cape Rock, to the open sea, the Athenians worshipped Poseidon and Athena from the Geometric period.
Day 10, TUESDAY, ATHENS – MYCENAE – EPIDAURUS: We leave Athens to the picturesque Saronic Gulf coastal paths to Corinth canal (short stop). Then we go to Mycenae, to visit the ruins, including the Gate of Lions, the tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. We continue to Nauplion, through the province of Argolis. After lunch, visit Epidaurus and its famous theater, noted for its exceptional acoustics and return to Athens at sunset.
Day 11, WEDNESDAY, ATHENS-AIRPORT: According to your departure time you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home
