Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Wednesday: Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure. Day 2, Thursday: Istanbul. After breakfast full day visit to Istanbul. Visits to the outstanding monuments of Ottoman and Byzantine Empires, the Roman Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia (closed on Mondays), Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Suleiman the Magnificent Mosque and Grand Bazaar with over 4000 stores. Lunch at local restaurant and back to the hotel at dusk. Day 3, Friday: Istanbul - Cappadocia - Kayseri. Evening transfer to Istanbul airport for your flight to Kayseri. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Day 4, Saturday: Cappadocia. Visit the Göreme monasteries and chapels, carved into the rocks and decorated with frescoes of the tenth century Pass by the strength of Uçhisar and Avcilar Valley. In the afternoon, visit the town of Avanos and valleys and Güvercinlik Pasabagi. Back to the hotel. Day 5, Sunday: Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale. Early departure to Konya, the capital of the Seljuk sultans. Visit Caravansarai of Sultanhan. Mevlana Mausoleum, poet and philosopher who founded the sect's religious mystic Whirling Dervishes. Lunch in the city and continue to Pamukkale. Accommodation and dinner. Day 6, Monday: Pamukkale - Ephesus - Kusadasi. In the morning, we enjoy Pamukkale. We continue and this afternoon we visit the most breathtaking island, Santorini, believed to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Arrive early morning at the port of Piraeus. After breakfast, disembark and transfer to selected hotel. Free day. Day 10, Saturday: Athens. Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “State of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content. Afternoon free to visit Plaka (The old Athens city) with lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and taverns. Day 11, Sunday: Athens - Airport.
