After 3 trekking days we get an approximately 3 hour deluxe coach trip to Prague. “Hundred-spire Prague”, “Prague – the mother of cities”, “magical Prague”. These are just three titles which the capital of the Czech Republic proudly bears. Since the very beginnings of the Czech state, it has been its natural political, business and cultural centre. This historic yet modern city is more than 1,000 years old. It has an extraordinary charm about it which can be sensed in every season. Its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site speaks for its worth.
Day 1: Arrival at Prague where our representative will greet you; transfer to the guesthouse located in a mountain village Jakuszyce on the Polish side of the Sudetes Mountains; check-in; welcome and info meeting, free time. Transfer time 2hrs 20min
Day 2: After breakfast trek directly from guesthouse on trail which leads through wild, picturesque forests, wetlands, plateaus and the main ridge with fantastic views. Sometimes the trail becomes a narrow path between trees. After smooth ascent stop for rest at the mountain hostel Hala Szrenicka. Crossing the border to Czech Republic by Twarożnik (granite blocks) and trek towards the Vosecka Bouda (Czech mountain hostel); walk to the source of the Elba river (one of the greatest rivers in Europe); walk down through Labsky Dul to Spindlerovy Mlyn (a well known, charming mountain town), on the way beautiful panoramic views, waterfalls, amazing rock formations. Check in, dinner.
Day 3: After breakfast ascent on Krakonos peak. Next trek on Old Bucharova path to mountain hostel Lucni Bouda. Time for rest and meal. Here you can enjoy fantastic panoramic views and open spaces. Then we walk on a trail which leads above Upska Jama and Obri Dul – there you can see precipices with approx. 400m high walls. Once we get to the eastern wall of Upska Jama we start walking down to the mountain village Pec pod Sniezkou where we spend our third night in the mountains. On the way relics of old mines from fifteenth century (we can visit underground routes – optional) . Check in, dinner, free time.
Day 4: After breakfast we get direct access to green and then yellow trail. Ascent to highest peak in Sudetes – Sniezka. On the top we cross the border and we are again on the Polish side of the mountains. Then walk down to Rownia pod Sniezką. Trek above Maly and Wielki Staw (mountain ponds); then a smooth descent to border of Karpacz – a beautiful mountain town. Stop at the twelfth century Lutheran temple Wang. After rest and temple visit (optional) we get deluxe coach trip and reach hotel in Prague in around 3 hrs. Check in, time for rest and gala dinner in hotel.
Day 5: After breakfast, free time or optional 4-5 hrs guided sightseeing program: Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Old Town City Hall, Powder Gate.
Day 6: After breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport. Transfer time: 30-40 minutes (depends on traffic conditions).
