Day 1: Ouagadougou. Upon arrival at Ouagadougou airport, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. Includes: (D).
Day 2: Ouagadougou city tour. Depart for a sightseeing tour of Ouagadougou the traditional capital of the Mossi Empire. Visit the Grand Marche, also known as “Rood Woko” is the modern and perhaps most attractive marketplace in West Africa. This is the best place to shop for baskets with leather wrapped handles, fabrics and print from Cote D'Ivoire plus a good selection of indigo tie-dyed cloth from Guinea. Again visit the Center Artisanto shop for bronze castings, carvings masks, jewelry-desert crosses and terracotta beads as well as Tuareg leather boxes.
End the day by visiting the Musee National. The museum is primarily of an ethnographic collection such as clay pots, basket making and weaving exhibits, Burkina Faso’s regional costumes including the Mossi chief’s regalia, ancestral statutes of the Bobo, Mossi, Lobi and Gourounsi people, Overnight at your hotel in Ouagadougou. Day 3: Ouagadougou – Banfora - Bobo Dioulasso. Breakfast then drive to the second biggest city, sightseeing many villages, Lunch in Banfora. Drive to visit the hippopotamus pool toward Banfora, drive back to Bobo late in the afternoon. Includes: (B).
Day 4: Bobo – Dioulasso. The second largest city in Burkina. Arrival to Bobo followed with the city tour (the mosque, the old quarter called Dioulassoba, and the central market, Back to the hotel for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, we will visit the town’s museum. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Day 5: Bobo – Mopti. Breakfast and drive to Mopti, the Malian venise, you will see the fascinating mix of Malian cultures: Bambara, Bobo, Bozo, Dogon, Fulani, Tuareg, Songhaï and Hausa. Visit the beautiful mosque, the fishing port and the bustling market, where you can shop for gold or silver jewelry, Tuareg leather work, or Fulani blankets of cotton or wool. Overnight in Mopti. Day 6: Mopti – Timbuktu. Early in the morning depart to Timbuktu via Douentzan, lunch en route. Arrive Timbuktu and then visit the city: the mosque the old city, the explorers houses, the manuscripts etc. Lunch in Timbuktu. Camel ride to visit Tuareg camp. Dinner and overnight in Timbuktu. Day 7: Timbuktu – Mopti. Breakfast, drive back to Mopti, lunch en route. Upon arrival in Mopti check into your hotel and overnight there. Includes: (B).
Day 8: Mopti - Kona Mopti. Cruise in a traditional motorized pirogue named pinasse to Konna, a Fulani village located at 55 km from Mopti. This highlight will enable you to visit Fulani, Songhaï, bozo villages on the river shore. Have lunch in the pinasse. Once arrived in Konna, we are met by our driver and drive to Mopti, dinner and overnight in Mopti. Includes: (L, D).
Day 9: Mopti - Dogon country. Breakfast then Mopti city tour: the big mosque, the bustling market, the fishing port where pirogues are made etc. After lunch in Mopti drive to the fascinating Dogon country, stop in Songho, a Dogon village, renown for its rock paintings and circumcision grotto. Dinner and overnight in Sangha. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 10: Dogon country – Djenné. This morning, we travel to Djenné, Mali architectural city, lunch in Sévaré. Upon arrival you will discover this city: the big mosque, the coranic schools etc, dinner and overnight in Djenné. Includes: (B, D).
Day 11: Djenné – Ségou. Breakfast then visit Djenné on its weekly market day, have lunch in Djenné or stop and have lunch when driving Ségou via San. Upon arrival in Ségou, check into your hotel dinner and stay overnight there. Includes: (B).
Day 12: Ségou – Bamako. Ségou city tour: the local brewery, the colonial Soudanese style houses, the old district of Ségou named Sekoro. Then drive to Bamako, you will visit an orphan and street children centre in Bamako called Association Culturelle Pensons a Demain’ in Bamako. This association works to help improve the living conditions of street children who do not have any shelter or any source of income. They teach them vocational skills; Dinner and overnight in Bamako. Day 13: Bamako Today you will explore this capital city of Bamako situated on the Niger, one of Africa's great rivers. Mali is a country of many tribal peoples, each with your own exuberant styles of clothing and jewelry. Overview of at the hill of PG, visit the national museum, the museum of Bamako, Bamako has a large art and craft center where sculptors, weavers, leather workers, jewelers and metal workers exhibit their wares and skills. You will visit the Grand Marché, or "Great Market", where you can spend hours exploring the hundreds of stalls. From carvings and cassettes, to fabrics, beads, brass and gold, the variety of goods is staggering. One area of the market is devoted entirely to traditional African medicines. Overnight: Hotel. Day 14: Bamako – Kaye. Depart in the morning to Kayes, lunch en route. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and overnight in your hotel. Includes: (L, D).
Day 15: Kayes city tour - the Malian first capital upon the arrival of the colonialists, visit the colonial buildings, the market…have lunch in town. Drive to visit the waterfall of Felou, back to Kayes dinner and overnight in Kayes. Includes: (B).
Day 16: Kayes – Worosogui. This morning you will be heading for Senegal, have lunch en route. Upon arrival in Worossogui, a Senegalese city, check into your hotel and stay there overnight. Includes: (B).
Day 17: Worosogui - Saint Louis. Breakfast then drive to Saint Louis, have a picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival in Saint Louis, installation, dinner and overnight in your hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 18: Saint Louis. Breakfast. City tour of Saint Louis visiting all points of interest. In the afternoon visit the traditional fishing village of Guet Ndar and in the afternoon Excursion to the Djoudj Park national bird sanctuary, one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites and one of the richest in birds in the world. Enjoy a pirogue ride to view the many species of cormorants, pelicans, ducks, flamingos, various songbirds and more. You may also see crocodiles, boas and wild boars. Dinner and overnight at Residence Hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 19: Saint Louis –Pink Lake- Dakar. and drive to Dakar; have lunch en route heading for Dakar by the way visit of the Pink Lake see the fishers, continuation to Dakar. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and stay overnight in your hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 20: Dakar – Gorée – Dakar. Breakfast in the morning and city tour the big market, the national museum followed by a visit to Goree Island. We take a ferry ride to the first port on the West African coast from where thousands of slaves were sent to the Americas, visit of the slave museum and afternoon is spent at a traditional wrestling match one of the highlights of Senegalese culture if you meet the season. Approximately 1 hour driving. Includes: (B).
Day 21: Dakar. Breakfast then tour of Dakar city: the museum, the market, the craft center and have your lunch in town, do your last shopping and Transfer to the international airport for your home departure. Includes: (B).
