Siena is a medieval city, but it is also very colourful thanks to its numerous Contrada-flags waving in its narrow alleys. The Campo is one of the most remarkable squares in Italy. The seventeen Contrades or wards into which the town is divided still manage to play an active part in the life of the city, culminating in the famous Palio horserace which has survived as perhaps the most spectacular annual festival in Italy, in which the whole city participates. San Gimignano is considered the jewel of Tuscany, it is placed in the heart of its relaxing green hills and its curious towers are still well preserved. San Gimigniano is also well known for its typical products such as the Vernaccia white wine (cool, light and fragrant) and the appetizing crunchy focaccia pizza dressed with extra virgin olive oil and rosemary.Is there a special place you want to go visit?
