Tour Itinerary: Day 1, Sunday: Arrival. Meet at Lima International Airport and transfer to hotel. Our representative will give a documents kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered. Overnight in Lima. Day 2, Monday: Cuscu and Sacsayhuaman. Transfer to Lima Airport for flight to Cusco. Meet at Cusco Airport and transfer to hotel. After time to rest and get acclimatized to the altitude of the Peruvian Andes. Cusco, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, developed under the Inca ruler Pachacutec into a complex urban centre with distinct religious and administrative functions. It was surrounded by clearly delineated areas for agricultural, artisan and industrial production. When the Spaniards conquered it in the 16th century, they preserved the basic structure but built Baroque churches and palaces over the ruins of the Inca city. City tour includes visiting San Blas and the Twelve-Angle Stone, the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, an ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God, the Main Square, the Cathedral with impressing goldsmith and wood carving, and the Inca Museum, also known as Casa del Almirante; in a mansion built in the 17th Century on top of an Inca palace, that exhibits a pre-Inca and Inca collection. Afternoon visit to the nearby Inca archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, an imposing example of military Inca architecture, Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. Overnight in Cusco. Includes: (B). Day 3, Tuesday: Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Sacred Valley. Transfer to the Sacred Valley, driving through the scenic Urubamba Valley visiting en route to Pisac colorful market and Ollantaytambo, an Inca origin town with remarkable channels, cobbled stone streets, an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the lower valley. Overnight in the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Includes: (B, L). Day 4, Wednesday: Machu Picchu. Scenic railroad transfer to Machu Picchu, with amazing views of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. At Aguas Calientes, our representatives will assist you to board the bus to the site for the tour of this magnificent place. Machu Picchu, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands 8,000 feet above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. After the tour, free time to explore on your own, relax and meditate. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. Includes: (B, L). Day 5, Thursday: Machu Picchu. Morning at leisure. Options: make a second visit to Machu Picchu to visit the Intipunku (Gate of the Sun). Or hike full adrenaline to the top of Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) to visit the Temple of the Moon and enjoy a spectacular view of the city. Afternoon, railroad ride back to Cusco. Meet at Station and transfer to hotel. Time to enjoy Cusco nightlife. Overnight in Cusco. Includes: (B, L). Day 6, Friday: Andahuaylillas, Racchi and Puno. Transfer to Puno, with scenic ride of the South Valley of Cusco. En route, visit Andahuaylillas, a town where a precious church from the 17th century boasts an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs and Racchi Archaeological Site, also known as “The Temple of God Wiracocha”. Overnight in Puno. Includes: (B, L). Day 7, Saturday: Lake Titicaca, Sillustani and Lake Umayo. Visit to Lake Titicaca floating islands of the Uros, also called The Lake Town, built using totora reed and are used as home and trade centers by the natives, using hand-made boats for transportation. Afternoon visit to the Sillustani Archaeological Site, famous for the “Chullpas” or stone circle based funerary towers that reach 40 feet high. Next to the site, Lake Umayo increases the beauty of this mystic place. Transfer to Juliaca Airport for flight to Lima. Meet at Lima Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Lima. Includes: (B).
