Schedule: Tours begin on a Thursday, before the First and Third Saturday each month all year round. Arrive to Lima, Peru.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1, Thursday: Arrival. Meet at Lima International Airport and transfer to hotel. Our representative will give a documents kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered. Overnight in Lima. Day 2, Friday: Ica and Nasca. Transfer to the bus station for 4-hours ride to Ica. Meet at Ica Bus Station and transfer to hotel for check in and drop off luggage. Visit to the Maria Reiche Museum, Cantayox Acueducts and Paredones Archaeological Site, known as the Inca administration post, followed by small airplane flight over the Nasca Lines. An UNESCO World Heritage Site, the geoglyphs of Nasca and the pampas of Jumana cover about 180 mi2. These lines, which were scratched on the surface of the ground between 500 B.C. and A.D. 500, are among archaeology’s greatest enigmas because of their quantity, nature, size and continuity. The geoglyphs depict living creatures, stylized plants and imaginary beings, as well as geometric figures several miles long. They are believed to have had ritual astronomical functions. Overnight in Ica. Includes: (B, L). Day 3, Saturday: Paracas Bay. Transfer to Paracas Bay for motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. These islands are part of the Paracas National Reserve, the biggest natural sanctuary in Peruvian shores and home to thousands of migratory birds and large groups of sea lions and seals.
