Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Addis Ababa. Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole international airport meet by one of our representatives and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Global Hotel 4* hotel. Day 2: Addis Ababa-Arbaminch. Drive Addis–Arbaminch. On the way visit the rift valley lake of Zeway. After lunch break in Zeway, continue driving to Arba Minch and we visit the Dorze village, one of the many small group of tribes in southern Ethiopia. Once warriors, the Dorze are now turned to farming and weaving to earn a living. Their success in the field of weaving has been phenomenal and the Dorze name is synonymous with best woven cotton cloth. Overnight at Tourist Hotel. Day 3: Arba Minch. After break fast drive to Nech Sar National Park for game viewing. After lunch break in the afternoon head to Lake Chamo for a visit of Hippos and Crocodile market. Overnight at Tourist Hotel. Day 4: Arbaminch-Jinka. We enjoy spectacular scenery as the road crosses soft rolling hills with dark red soil and plentiful crops and woods. An excellent day to meet the people and visit the markets of Benna and Ari people in Kako, take photographs with them and learn of a culture that has had very little outside influence Overnight at Jinka Resort. Day 5: Jinka-Mago-Mursi. An interesting day seeing how the lifestyle of bygone days is still being lived Day excursion to Mago National Park to visit Mursi village and the insertion of wooden and terracotta discs into the ear lobes is a widespread custom and Mursi women also progressively split and stretch their lower lips to make room for similar discs there too. Overnight Mago Camping. Day 6: Murulle-Key Afer Market. Turmi is going to be our base for the next three days as we explore the different regions, markets and meet the different tribes who live a life of their own. In the morning we will drive to key Afer to visit the Markets of Benna, Ari and Tsemay tribes. Overnight Camping Turmi. Day 7: Turmi-Murulle. This day we drive towards the Murulle area to see the Karo ethnic group, experts in body painting, using clays and locally available vegetable pigments to trace fantastic patterns on each other's faces, chests, arms and legs. Karo men also sculpt and shave their hair into extravagant shapes, with special ochre "caps" of hair usually containing several ostrich feathers. Overnight Turmi Camping. Day 8: Turmi-Dimeka Market Saturday Dimeka Market. In the morning drive to Omo rate and crossing the Omo River by boat to visit the Galab village in the bank of the lower Omo valley. In the afternoon we drive towards the Dimeka area to see the market of Benna, Tsemay and Hamer ethnic group, experts in body painting. Overnight Turmi camping. Day 9: Turmi–Konso. Drive from Turmi to Konso on the way visit Erbore village, this is the settlement for the Erbore tribes having similar characteristics with the Borena Oromo and a visit of Konso village. An excellent day to meet the people, take photographs with them and learn of a culture that has had very little outside influence. Overnight Tourist Hotel. Day 10: Arbaminch. After break fast drive to Addis Ababa through the rift valley lakes of Abyatta, Shalla and Langano. And in the evening transfer to the Airport for your departure. Notes: Price Includes:
