Explore the jungles and the fabulous beaches of Costa Rica's Southern Caribbean coast, the wild Talamanca mountains, the clear waters sea at Cahuita National Park, and the coconut shaded beaches of Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. We will see birds, dolphins, iguanas and learn about the tropical rain forest. Our home base, M11466, has been called "A Jungle Gem" by the American Way magazine. The resort is set into the Samasati Biological Reserve, a private protected area rich with diverse species of birds and wildlife.
Accommodations will consist of comfortable, exotic cottages set in the middle of the rain forest with a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi, relaxing massages and a gourmet healthy cuisine. Yoga classes will be available every morning and every evening. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: We set out through the Braulio Carillo National Park towards the Caribbean coast to M11466. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to finally relax and soak in the large Jacuzzi while looking at the sunset or enjoy a Yoga class. Day 2: We will explore Cahuita National Park. The coral reef of Cahuita National Park includes approximately 240 habitats. There are 123 different species of fishes, 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish and 1281 seaweed species identified. We can also observe 35 different coral species such as the fire coral, the red coral and the black coral which is unique to this area. This tour will start with a boat trip to the coral reef where you will be snorkeling. Then you will follow a guided walk on the Cahuita National Park's trail, where wild animals are easily spotted in the middle of the abundant and colorful flora. The rest of the day is to be enjoyed lying on the white sand beach or visiting Cahuita village. Day 3: A must for the adventurous, the Canopy tour will give a real taste of the tropical rain forest. Sixteen aerial platforms and 2400 meters of cable are nestled deep into the jungle. Our professional guide will guide you from one platform to the other through a zip line and he will also explain about the vegetation, the animals, and how the local indigenous use some of the herbs you will see. An incredible opportunity to "dive" into the jungle and enjoy it from above. Day 4: Excursion to Punta Uva located in the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife refuge.
