Day 1: Home - Beijing. Depart for Beijing.
Day 2: Beijing. Arrive in Beijing. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Beijing. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and provide a full day tour including Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and Liulichang which has been well known since 17th century Qing Dynasty as the street selling old books, paintings, calligraphy and other arts. Whether you buy or not, it will be an interesting place to visit. In the evening, enjoy Peking Opera in Huguang Guild Hall where the best Peking Opera is performed. You will have dinner in the neighboring Chuwan Hall with excellent cuisine. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Beijing. Today your guide will take you to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb, and Sacred Way. Last stop is at the Beijing’s famous Acrobatic Show. Peking Duck dinner. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Beijing - Xining - Sky Train. After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport and fly to Xining. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to the railway station to board the super modern Sky Train equipped with special oxygen system for high altitudes. You will need to take time to acclimate the high altitude.
Day 6: Lhasa. Arrive in Lhasa railway station (altitude 11972 feet), the capital of Tibet. You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Stay at the hotel and adapt to the high altitude. Includes: (B).
Day 7: Lhasa. Visit Potala in the morning. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang Monastery and Barkhor Street. You have a special opportunity to visit a Tibetan home and also will be invited dinner there (if you are not able to take exotic food, please advise us in advance, so that the dinner may not be planned). Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Lhasa. After breakfast, you will visit Phabongkha Monastery. Then start trekking to Chosang Nunnery via Tashi Choling Monastery. Visit Sera Monastery and see the famous “Buddhism Scriptures Debate”. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse. In the morning, drive to Gyantse. On the Kamba La (15731 feet), you will have a fantastic view of the holy lake Yamdrok. Visit Pelkor Monastery as well as the splendid Kumbum Stupa (100,000 Buddha Pagoda). Continue to Shigatse. Yak-dancing Welcome dinner. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: Shigatse - Lhasa. In the morning, visit Tashilumpo Monastery of Gelug Sect, the seat of the Panchen Lama. In the afternoon, drive back to Lhasa. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Lhasa - Home. You will be transferred to airport for departure. Includes: (B).
