Tour Itinerary:

Departure at 8:00 at hotel. We will take direction to “Cajon del Maipo” where we make our first stop at “San Jose de Maipo” most important village at Cajón del Maipo here we will have a brief walk around the square and have an explanation about the route. Here we will also have the opportunity to buy some snacks. Back in the van we take head out to “San Gabriel” where we meet our Chilean cowboys that will set everything up for the horse ride, in which we also have a talk about riding.

Once on the horse we will learn his/her name and get along with who will be our travel mate during the day, which will take us through the Andes. The route will take us up to 2.500 m where will get to “vegas cordilleranas” (high altitude mountain grass fields), surrounded by unique flora and fauna, free horses running around and if we are lucky the presence of the Chilean Condor. Finally we will enjoy a typical Chilean Asado (BBQ) with the local cowboys, before going back down to San Gabriel. Back on San Gabriel we will say good bye to our hosts and head back to Santiago and get back on to the hotel at about 9:00 pm.
