This tour will give you the exciting and truly unique experience of searching for some of the most elusive and secretive mammals this area has to offer. Everybody dreams of having the chance to see a wild Brown Bear in their lifetime. Using professional hides in the depths of the forests of the Carpathian Mountains, we will maximize our chances of close encounters with these exceptional creatures. On no other tour will you have the chance for such close encounters with bats and the opportunity to learn about them in depth. Other star mammals we seek out include Eurasian Lynx and Grey Wolf. Day 2: Aggtelek National Park.

Day 3: Aggtelek National Park to Hortobágy National Park.

Day 4: Hortobágy National Park.

Day 5: Hortobágy to Székelyudvarhely.

Day 6: Harghita Mountains.

Day 7: Harghita Mountains.

Day 8: Székelyudvarhely to Brasov.

Day 9: Brasov.

Day 10: Brasov to Bucharest.

This Poland extension follows the Eastern Europe – Wildlife of Hungary & Romania tour. The extension takes us to the most famous national parks of the country, Bierbza and Biebrza National Park. Home to European Bison, Grey Wolf, Eurasian Lynx and Wild Cat, Bierbza National Park is the largest and last untouched lowland primeval forest in Central Europe. Located on the watershed of the Baltic and Black seas, this immense forest range consists of evergreens and broadleaved trees. It provides refuge to some remarkable animal life, including rare and fascinating mammals and approx 150 species of birds. Biebrza is the largest national park in Poland and home to healthy populations of both Elk and Grey Wolf.
