Day 1: Cerro Catedral, safety and avalanche training and technical skills. Pick-up from your hotel. We spend this day in and around the ski are of Cerro Catedral. One of the most known ski areas in South America. Here we will check our equipment and learn important skills and tricks to manage the following days in the backcountry. As a highlight of the day we take a short hike and ski a great off pist run to the “Lagunita”, surrounded by Granit needles. Back to the Hotel in Bariloche. Day 2: Skitour to Cerro Challuhuaco and Cerro Blanco. Pick-up from your Hotel and transportation to the Refugio Neumeyer. This is an 12 km long dirt road trip trough the to the beginning of our first day in the backcountry. Now, with skins on our skis, we ski up trough a beautiful Coihues forest. Above the forest we can enjoy great fiews to the Nahuel Huapi lake and the many peaks around Bariloche. From the top of the mountain we can either ski down again or continue our climb to the nearby Cerro Blanco. Cerro Blanco offers great skiing down to a quite valley. After a drink at the Refugio Neumeyer our transport brings us back to Bariloche. Day 3: Skitour to Cerro Lopez. This tour brings us to one of the most impressive places of the whole week. The view over the lake basin is unforgettable. A transportation brings us to the bottom of. On the way we pass a famous viewpoint to the Llao Llao area. We might have to stick our skis on our packpacks for a while to climb a steep trail up to the refugio Roca Negra. Around that place we can start our skitour towards the Refugio Lopez. Now out of the forest we walk all the way up to Pico Tourista. Up here you will feel like the king of the world! Many great runs are possible from this place. Transport back to Bariloche. Day 4: Day off to charge the batteries. Optional Skiing in the ski area Cerro Bajo at Villa de Angostura or an exciting day on a typical Patagonian Estancia. Take this day off to charge your batteries for the upcoming tours or if you feel like some more action we can offer you an other great day in the snow or on the back of a horse. Day 5: Skitour to Refugio Frey. We will leave the civilization for 2 days and walk to Refugio Frey. This is a magical place on a small lagoon and surrounded by some famous granite climbing spots. In between this needles called “los Catedrals” we will be able to do some great couloir skiing. We spend the night at the mountain hut. Day 6: Skiing in the area of Refugio Frey. Waking up in this peaceful place will make you want to ski some more! And there is lots to do. We spend an other night at Refugio Frey. Day 7: Back to Bariloche. One day we might have to co back. We ski back to Villa Catedral and the transport brings you back to Bariloche. Notes: Price Includes:
