Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport.
You’ll be met by representative of our company and have you transferred to Sophie’s Hotel in Entebbe.
Day 2: Ngamba Island.
After breakfast, we’ll head to Entebbe Pier and meet everybody at the meeting point to proceed to Ngamba Island, the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Get back by 12:45pm and have your lunch. After begin the panoramic drive Northwest via the famous Luweero triangle to Masindi town. Lunch on the road. Dinner and overnight at Masindi Hotel.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park.
Introduction: This is the biggest national park in Uganda with an area of 3840sqkm.The River Nile divides the park into North and South sectors and forms a Falls where it flows over the western rift valley escarpment. Here the river is forced through a seven meter gap in the rocks and cascades into a boiling pot 43 meters below.
Attractions: Murchison Falls itself where the 87 meter wide River Nile is forced through a 7 meter clift in the rocks dropping to more than 43 meters below with a thundering roar and a beautiful rainbow. Historical sites are responsible for much of the park's appeal, its beauty and name. The boat can stop at the foot of a trail which leads you through dense forest to a natural viewing platform of boulders. There is a 3 hours launch cruise to the bottom of the falls from Paara which will be an unforgettable experience. Along this 17 km Nile stretch you should view: elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, hippos, waterbucks, several antelope species, a lot of birdlife and the tooth some Nile crocodile. Program: Departure for Murchison Falls National Park, stop at Budongo Forest for walking chimp tracking (3 hours ). Lunch at Sambiya River Lodge. After Lunch you will transfer to the top of the Falls. Later check in at the at Nile Safari Lodge.
Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4: Explore and Marvel.
After an early breakfast game drive begins at 7:00 am cross the Nile by ferry. It is with in this park that the natural beauty of the Nile is perfected. You will come across herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species also the unusual saddle bill storks morning game drive will last 3-4 hrs, get back to the lodge. Make your lunch orders. In the afternoon take a 3 hour launch cruise to the bottom of the falls you will come across pools of hippos, be meters away from the toothsome crocodile with his jaws wide open and lots of game coming down to the Nile for the afternoon refreshing. Get back to the lodge Meal plans dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Kibale National Park.
Introduction: This is Western Uganda, 35 km from FortPortal town, which is 360kms from Kampala via Mubende town. The Park is home to several families of primates including habituated chimpanzees. It has 11 species of primates, including many families of chimps and colobus monkeys, buffalo, warthog, Uganda kob and over 300 bird species. Itinerary: after breakfast set again for Kibale National Park we'll take the Western scenic route over looking Lake Albert via Hoima and a lunch break in Fort Por tal town which is 34 kms from the Main Park. Arrive early evening for meals and overnight at the Ndali Lodge.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early in the morning proceed to Kibale National park headquarters for chimp tracking be at the reception by 8:00am. Tracking will begin and last for about 3hrs get back by mid noon, have lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at the Mweya Safari Lodge. Do the evening game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park: Introduction: The park spreads over an area of 1978 sq kilometers in the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley 418 km from the capital Kampala and takes approximately 6 hours. Air Charter services can be organized by Uganda Wildlife Scene which land at Kasese Aerodrome. Attractions: The park is a home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, baboons and birds all typical riverrine savannah habitats and the famous Kazinga Channel. In the Southern Parts is the Ishasha sector with the tree climbing lions and the Maramagambo forest, one of the largest surviving natural forests in Uganda. The Northern part is traversed by the equator and is dominated by the scenery of crater lakes with lots of flamingos. There is a launch trip on the Kazinga channel which joins Lake George to Lake Edward.
Day 7: Kazinga Channel.
Early in the morning game drive begins at 6:30am to be in time to see the big cats in action. Game drive lasts for 3-4 hrs get back for breakfast relax and lunch. In the afternoon take at 2:45 pm take the launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake George to Lake Edward. The launch cruise will for 2 hrs get back by 5:00pm and go for the evening game drive get back to the lodge by 6:30pm refresh later meal plans Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8: After breakfast we will transfer to Rwanda we’ll drive through the country side and connect back to the main road at Ntungamo. Proceed to Kabale for a lunch break go through and Kisoro town and cross through the Cyanika Uganda – Rwanda border. Check in at the Gorilla Nest Rwanda, unpack and refresh. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Rwanda.
Day 9: First gorilla tracking.
This day after breakfast you will proceed to the Rwanda Gorilla office headquarters and get the briefing from the guides, then its off on to your adventure to meet these thrilling gentle giants of Rwanda. First gorilla tracking. Time taken varies according to the movement of these gorillas as they are in search of their food. Get back to the Gorilla nest and share your day’s. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest. Rwanda.
Day 10: Second Gorilla Tracking.
This day you will do your second Gorilla tracking, to visit another different group and have the comparison of different groups. Later you are back to the camp.Back to Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Traveller’s Hotel Kisoro.
Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park.
Introduction: Uganda's fourth National park was gazzeted in 1982.The park covers an area surface of 256kmq. It offers varied scenic beauty hills and valleys.
Access: The park is 230 km by road from Kampala. The open corridor of Mbarara- Masaka road leads you to this beautiful scenic park you will stop at Kayobwe 72 kms from Kampala to physically cross the Equator and take pictures. Attractions: Include, Zebra, Impala, Topis, Wipsprings, Elands, Buffaloes, Hippos,Crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Program: After break fast we will head for Lake Mburo National Park, have a lunch break in Mbarara town and later proceed to the park Mantana Safari Lodge. Check in relax. In the evening you’ll go for a boat cruise on the Lake Mburo get back to the lodge, dinner and overnight Mantana Safari Lodge.
Day 12: Kampala
After breakfast morning game drive travel to Kampala. According to your flight schedules, transfer to the airport for your flight connection. End of Safari.
