Tour Highlights:
Cesky Krumlov – a medieval and renaissance town with over 300 listed buildings, which inspired Egon Schiele. We will be there at the time of the Wenceslas Celebrations, a festival of Czech folk music and culture and craft market. Zumberk – a delightful fairytale fortified village with a museum of traditional painted furniture Jindrichuv Hradec Castle - the second-largest castle in Bohemia with the St George Chapel decorated with Gothic painting Optional - backglass painting workshop - create your own traditional painting Jindrichuv Hradec Tapestry studios - we will be visiting the studios, founded by Czech cubist Marie Teinitzerova, to see the restoration and creation of tapestries Ceske Budejovice - a fascinating city, home of the Budweiser Budvar Brewery, with a historic centre, good shops, galleries and museums. Trebon - a Renaissance town set in a landscape of lakes Optional Easter egg painting workshop (you will also make some traditional gingerbread) Ales Gallery, Hluboka Nad Vltavou, - a stunning collection of medieval sculpture and painting, together with contemporary exhibition - you also get a chance to look around top Czech attraction Hluboka Castle Glass studio, Hluboka, we will visit a workshop producing Bohemian glass and beads, you may even get a chance to make your own. This tour is available for groups on other dates. Based in Ceske Budejovice, Jindrichuv Hradec and Cesky Krumlov. Although the tour does not include overnight stays in Prague, these can be arranged.
