Please Note: If a minimum number of guests are stated, we can unfortunately NOT RESPOND to an inquiry for less than the required minimum.
This safari is only possible with a minimum booking of two Guests. Although not bound by any particular season, the months of December to January can be uncomfortably hot - height of the Namibian summer! On the other hand, the Kunene River - one of your "ports of call" - offers not only exhilarating activities, but an opportunity to cool down, besides the swimming pool. The activities mentioned, could include canoeing or white water rafting. If a "best" time must be singled out, weather- wise, it will probably be from February to mid- July. However, this safari is available throughout the year - whenever it suits you. Due to the fact that the duration of this safari is only ten days, no camping will be included, only full accommodation. This will ensure that you could spend every possible minute enjoying the adventure and experience that this safari has to offer. All meals and activities are included in the safari price. Your Itinerary: [MEALS INCLUDED: D=Dinner; L=Lunch; B =Breakfast] Day 1: Meet your host at Namibia’s International airport. Transfer to the peaceful setting of a Game Camp on the outskirts of Windhoek to relax from the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia. [D] Day 2: As you experience your first change of landscape, stop for lunch en-route. Your first overnight stop is in the shadow of the highest mountain peak in Namibia – the Brandberg of Damaraland. You might end your day with a sundowners drive, or decide to wait until morning for a nature drive, in search of our elusive Desert Elephants. [B, L & D] Day 3: Moving into the heart of the rugged Damaraland wilderness, enjoy this pristine landscape on an afternoon nature drive before dinner, and returning to your safari tents for a peaceful night’s rest. [B, L & D] Day 4: Drive right up to the Kunene River, the border between Namibia and Angola. End your day with a sundowners boat cruise on the Kunene River. [B, L & D] Day 5: Today you are at own leisure to either partake in some adrenalin-activity, such as white water rafting or canoeing, on the Kunene River. [B, L & D] Day 6: Return towards the south, towards the only town in Kaokoland. Should you so wish, an excursion to visit and meet the ochre-coloured Ova-Himba nomads, will be arranged. [B, L & D] Day7: After an early breakfast, join an excursion for a full-day visit to the Epupa Falls in the Kunene River, at the northern most point in Namibia, looking over into Angola across the river. [B, L & D] Day 8: Unfortunately, all good things must also come to an end and today you have to make a U-turn towards Windhoek. Not to make the return to civilization too harsh, overnight at a Cheetah Conservation Farm, where some real close-up photos of these orphans of the wild will be possible. [B, L & D] Day 9: Return to Windhoek. And a Game Ranch on the outskirts of Windhoek. End your day with a scenic drive for a final glimpse of our Namibian sunset on this, your last night in Namibia, Africa. [B, L & D] Day 10: Subject to flight departure time, you may have all morning to sort out luggage, or add a few last photos to your film or memory card.
