Please Note: If a minimum number of guests are stated, we can unfortunately NOT RESPOND to an inquiry for less than the required minimum. This is necessary as our "Photographic Wildlife Experience" is a private safari, meaning that you will have sole use of an own safari vehicle and personal host/guide for the duration of the safari, and cannot be joined by anybody else.
This is a wildlife viewing, photographic safari (10-days, fully accommodated). For those amateur photographers who only have 10 days’ holiday/vacation, and are in despair of such a time limitation, this is for you! Transform your dream of an African Safari into reality! Here, in The Gem of Africa - Namibia. View and photograph African wildlife in their natural surroundings. This photographic safari offers a promise of experiences, more vivid, than the photographs you will take back home with you. With only ten days available, no time will be wasted on pitching and breaking up of safari camps, this is a fully accommodated safari. Every possible minute will be spent in active experiences and creating the Memory Maker for years to come! To make this photographic safari happen, we require a minimum booking of 2 (two) guests. During the safari you will visit the Etosha National Park and private reserves, some specializing in a specific form of conservation and/or research of our Fauna, Flora and environmental eco-systems. One of these is a Cheetah Conservation Farm, where some real close-up photographic opportunities will be possible; Here, in the middle of this African savannah, allow yourself the luxury of spending your nights in a photographic wonderland. Picture the bliss and feeling of being on holiday while joining wildlife viewing drives. You will concentrate on the central to northern savannah and thorn scrub of Namibia. There's more, come and see for yourself! Included meals are indicated on the itinerary and ALL the activities, as described per venue, are also included in the safari price. Tour Itinerary: [MEALS INCLUDED: D=Dinner; L=Lunch; B =Breakfast] Day 1: Meet your host at our International airport on arrival, and immediately transfer to a first – very small - private Nature Reserve. Relax from the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia, while viewing the local wildlife. [D]. Day 2: Start your first full day with a relatively long, but easy drive towards a private Cheetah Conservation Farm. With luck, the owners will invite you to their homestead in the late afternoon for some inter-action and close-up photography of a few semi-tame Cheetahs – the orphans of the bush, and not regularly seen on Game viewing drives. [B, L & D] Days 3&4: After a wholesome farm breakfast, continue towards the western entrance of the Etosha National Park. Your accommodation is set in typical Mopane bush, while the venue itself is reminiscent of a bygone era. A day and a half to enjoy wildlife viewing drives in the western regions of the Park, an area not very densely foliated – excellent for viewing and photographing of wildlife. [B, L & D]. Days 5&6: Traversing the entire “public” area of the Etosha National Park, you have two more days in which to encounter wildlife and take home those much wanted photographs. Exit through the western entrance from the Park, into another, large, private Nature Reserve. [B, L & D]. Days 7&8: Today you have to leave the Etosha area behind – albeit reluctantly – but fortunately, the return journey will not be direct, which helps to dampen that feeling of finality. Your venue for the next two nights is a private Game Reserve, boasting the largest variety of wildlife outside of the Etosha Park. [B, L & D]. Day 9: Unfortunately, this dream is fast coming to an end. But not to create too much of a shock to your system by suddenly returning you to civilization after such a free and close-to-Nature experience, your accommodation tonight will be at Game Ranch en-route to the airport. Join a scenic drive for a final view of our sunset on this, your last night in Namibia, Africa. [B, L & D]. Day 10: Subject to flight departure time, you will have the opportunity for a leisurely breakfast, and to finish those last exposures on your film, or memory disc. Transfer to Namibia's International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight. [B – Lunch will be subject to flight departure time]. NB. Days 1 and 10 will always be subject to flight schedule, and may have to be customized to same. Member discount: Notes: The current prices are only valid until 31 October 2012. The minimum price indicates six guests traveling together, while the maximum price is when only two guests travel alone.
