A nature safari, as close to nature as possible - without actually camping - to fully appreciate the African experience! This offer is valid for any 10 days of choice between January and December. A fully accommodated safari with the express purpose of being as close to Nature as possible - yet comfortable and secure. This accommodated nature safari, will only be possible with a minimum booking of two Guests. It will start in Windhoek, and end in Windhoek 10 days later. En-route you will visit the Etosha National Park; search for the desert Elephants in Damaraland, and experience real close-up inter-action with a few semi-tame Cheetahs – an excellent photographic opportunity! This entire journey will be fully accommodated, albeit sometimes in fixed structures, and other times in permanent tents or rustic chalets, affording you the "feel of the African bush" without having to camp. All activities mentioned in the itinerary, are already included in the safari price. For those who have a little more time available, this safari is also available as an 18-day safari, covering north- and south Namibia, under the title of “Hugging Nature in Namibia”. Alternatively, another 10-day safari will cover southern Namibia, under the title of “Hugging Nature in southern Namibia”. Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Meet your host at Namibia's International airport and transfer to a guest farm near the airport, or a venue in Damaraland (subject to flight schedule) to rest from the long flight and acclimatize to Namibia. Includes: (D). Day 2: After breakfast, travel directly towards Damaraland – if accommodated near the airport – or enjoy a leisurely breakfast – if accommodated in Damaraland. Here, you would have retired in the shadow of the highest mountain peak in Namibia, the Brandberg. Subject to the decision of the local guide, you may either join a nature drive late afternoon, or early morning tomorrow, on your first opportunity to search for our elusive desert-adapted Elephants. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 3: An area often referred to as “Landscapes of the Soul”, is what you will travel through today towards a typical Damaraland venue. You will need most of the afternoon to fully comprehend that you are not dreaming - this is Damaraland! End your day with a rewarding nature drive and an early night, in preparation for your adventure tomorrow. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 4: An early breakfast to fortify yourself for an entire day of desert Elephant tracking through the rugged landscape of Damaraland! Return to camp for a well-deserved dinner and good night’s rest. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 5: To shorten the distance, and gradually eject the wonder of Damaraland from your system, a last stop is scheduled at a Cheetah Conservation Farm. Should you arrive in time, the owners will extend an invitation to visit their Homestead, where you may inter-act with a few semi-tame Cheetahs, and take home some excellent photographs. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 6: Today you depart from Damaraland - albeit reluctantly - to continue towards a safari camp just outside the Etosha National Park. Subject to arrival time, you may have your first opportunity for a wildlife viewing drive within the Okaukuejo region of the Park. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 7: Enter the gates to Etosha as early as possible for a day's Game viewing within the Okaukuejo area of the Park, as far as the Halali Rest Camp and back. Return to camp before sunset. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 8: Unfortunately, all good things also come to an end, and you have to turn around and head back to Windhoek today. To shorten this distance, and create a gradual return, you will be accommodated at a private safari lodge, boasting the largest selection of wildlife outside of the Etosha National Park. This will be proven on a late afternoon Game drive before dinner. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 9: To try and view more animals that might not have been spotted on a late afternoon Game drive, an early morning wildlife viewing drive is also available, before finally returning to Windhoek. But not to make the transition to civilization too harsh, your accommodation tonight will be at a small Game Lodge en-route to the airport. Relax, and view a final sunset, on this, your last night in Namibia, Africa. Includes: (B, L, D). Day 10: Subject to flight departure time, you might have all morning to enjoy nature walks on the premises or simply laze on a pool chair and view wildlife at the waterhole. Transfer to Namibia's International airport to arrive in time for your departure flight. Includes: (B - Lunch subject to flight schedule). Member discount: Notes: - These prices are only valid until 31 October 2012
