We offer a number of programs for people who want to enjoy Iceland by rental car. Our “Organized Self-Drive” vacation includes airport transfers, a rental car and accommodation with breakfast. You are met at Keflavik Airport and taken to Reykjavik for the first night’s stay. You are given a road map and a detailed itinerary with information about sites along the route.
Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Reykjavik. Flybus (Airport Bus) transfer from Keflavík Airport to accommodation in Reykjavík. Overnight at Hotel Loftleider or similar. Day 2: Vik. Visit south-coast highlights such as the Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, Myrdalsjokull glacier and Dyrholaey. Overnight at Hotel Hordabrekka or similar in Vik. Includes: (B). Day 3: Hekla - Geysir - Fludir. Explore Thorsardalur valley and then continue to Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir hot-spring area. Accomodation: Icelandair Hotel Fludir Includes: (B). Day 4: Thingvellir - Borgarfjordur - Reykjavik. Thingvellir National Park and sightseeing in Borgarfjordur area, then via Hvalfjordur fjord or Kaldidalur highland track (4WD needed), back to Reykjavik. Overnight at Hotel Loftleidur or similar.
