Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport; meet M21093 staff. Transfer to the hotel in Kampala. Time permitting visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe for an overview of some of Uganda’s attractions in one setting. Or take a Kampala city tour. Overnight, lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Mid morning, depart for Murchison Falls National Park from Kampala, through Uganda’s beautiful green undulating countryside via Masindi town to Para. Murchison Lookout for baboons as birds whistle. Have late lunch at Para Safari Lodge. In the evening, take a nature walk to the top of the falls. Murchison falls is the most stunning attraction; a point where the waters of the mighty Nile squeeze and burst majestically through, a 7metre gorge to an awesome 45m plunge producing a thunderous roar and forming a beautiful rainbow you’ll most certainly find no where in Africa. See Monitor lizards and get a chance of standing at a point where it rains thought out the year. Please come with your binoculars to enjoy more. Dinner & Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Early morning at 6:00am, go for an enthralling game drive in the northern Sector of the park. Enjoy the cool breeze on the ferry while crossing the Nile before starting on Buligi circuit. Look out for Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes, Hartebeests and many more wild animals. Take lunch while having spectacular views of the Nile at Paraa. At 2:00 pm, go for a launch/boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the base of the Murchison falls; en-route expect a spectacular showcase as hippos languish on sand banks, crocodiles rest on riverside, baboons play in groups on the banks, families of elephants trundle to the water for a drink, a wide variety of bird species- the rare Shoebill stork is ‘a must see’. The boat stops just a stone throw from the “Devils Cauldron”, an excellent opportunity to take fantastic pictures of the majestic Murchison Falls. Cruise time; 2-3hrs. Don’t forget the rightful lenses of your camera to enable you take bird photographs. Dinner & Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Early morning at 6:00am, go for another enthralling game drive in the northern Sector of the park. This is to enable you sport animals that you may have missed on the first game drive. Take the Albert trails. Again look out for Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes, Hartebeests and many more wild animals. Take lunch while having spectacular views of the Nile at Paraa as you prepare for the afternoon boat trip to Lake Albert. Don’t miss the shy Sitatunga, the rare shoebill stork and elephants bathing on the banks. In the evening, sit and relax at Southern banks of the Nile at Paraa. Enjoy the rest of the evening watching hippos forming air bubbles in the water and emerging from the Nile waters to graze on its lush banks. Don’t miss the spectacular sunset over the Victoria Nile at Paraa. Dinner & Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge (FB).
Day 5: Take an excursion to Sambiya forest. Carry with you packed lunch and your luggage. In the forest walk, don’t miss the large families of baboons and other apes. The forest offers many species of butterflies and plants. Seeing trees with buttress roots is an experience you must not miss. Please come with your binoculars to enjoy more. After the forest walk, take lunch as you proceed to Kampala arriving late evening.
