Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by M21093 cultural guide. After a short transfer to your hotel you will be briefed about your safari. You are advised to have money changed this day. Overnight at Serena or Hotel Africana. Day 2: After a morning breakfast have a tour around Kampala visiting the different cultural sites starting from Naggalabi Coronation Site which has the real history and origin of the Buganda Kingdom, proceed to Kasubi Tombs a burial place for the Baganda Kings then have a lunch break and have an afternoon visit to the Residence of the King (Bulange). Overnight stay Serena Hotel or Hotel Africana. Day 3: After breakfast, take a morning drive to the eastern part of the country where we shall have a whole day of white water rafting with evening cultural entertainment by the Budondo group, then drive back to Kampala for an overnight stay at Serena Hotel or Hotel Africana. Day 4: After a morning breakfast, Proceed to Bagalayazze the burial place of the Queen Mothers of the Buganda Kings, enjoy cooking traditional meals with the remaining Queen mother and her daughters, such as Luwombo, Matooke, Nsujju, etc overnight stay at Serena Hotel or Hotel Africana. Day 5: Start with an early breakfast and head for Bigo byamugenyi. This is the historical place for the Bahwezi. These were the rulers of the interlacustrine region of East Africa who were believed to be super natural beings and they disappeared mysteriously. Continue to Fort Portal town which lays close to the fabled mountains of the moon where we shall check in at Ataco Country Resort or Rwenzori View Guest House. Day 6: After breakfast visit Ntande hills the home to the Batwa from Ituri forest, and then visit Sempaya hot springs both male and female springs. Overnight stay at Ataco Country Resort or Rwenzori View Guest House. Day 7: After breakfast, visit Nyakasura Hills and amabere Ganyinamwiru caves the real origin of the Bachwezi. This whole afternoon we visit the Toro Kings Palace. The King of Toro is the youngest king in the whole world. He took the throne at the age of 4 in 1995. Entertainment by the toro cultural dancers in the evening. Overnight stay at Ataco Country Resort or Rwenzori View Guest House. Day 8: After an early breakfast, we proceed to the Bakonjo village at Ruboni near the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountains and spend the whole day with the Bakonjo Community, visit the traditional healer (Chesesa) receive their entertainment and later evening transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Over night at Mweya Safari Lodge. Day 9: After morning breakfast, proceed for a game drive in the park, then an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and George, this cruise exposes you to a school of Hippos, herds of Buffaloes and Elephants not leaving out the different species of birds, both indigenous and migrants. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge. Day 10: Transfer to the Bwindi National Park and pass via the Ishaha sector where if lucky, we shall be seeing the tree climbing lions. Drive through the Switzerland of Africa with views of the tea plantations and processing factory. Dinner and over night stay at Gorilla Forest Camp or Lake Kitandara. Day 11: Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different trails crisscrossed by wild animals allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can't afford to miss. The Gorillas are peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Dinner and over night stay at Gorilla Forest Camp or Lake Kitandara. Day 12: After an early morning breakfast, we shall have a village walk then interact with the Batwa day as we enjoy their traditional dances and other cultural norms passed into them for example traditional making of fire. Dinner and over night stay at Lake Kitandara. Day 13: After an early breakfast, proceed for Mbarara. Have lunch at Kabale White Horse Inn. Visit the Cultural Village of the Bakiga in town. Proceed to Mbarara for overnight stay at Agip Motel. Day 14: After an early breakfast transfer to Kampala with a game drive at Lake Mburo National Park. Here are Zebras, Topis, and Impalas etc. Proceed to Kampala in the afternoon with stopovers at the Drum making centre at Mpambire. Over night at Serena or Sheraton Kampala Hotel. Day 15: Drope to the Airport to catch your flight back home with lots of memories and experiences.We are able to offer this itinerary as an Upmarket, Mid range or budget tour by utilising alternative accommodation options at the places to be visited.
