Day 1: Arrival Entebbe - Kampala
On arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide from M21093, who will then transfer you to Kampala for overnight at either Serena Hotel, Common Wealth Country Resort (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel, Royal Capital Palace Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Fairway Hotel (low Budget accommodation).
Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park.
An early departure after breakfast, driving North West of Kampala through Luwero triangle, with a brief stop at the Ziwa Rhino farm, to view the white Rhinos. Uganda’s Rhinos became extinct in early 1980’s, after a period of civil unrest and heavy poaching. The farm has now been established to restore Rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas in the near future.
Lunch en route, then proceed to the top of Murchison Falls where river Nile explodes violently through a narrow gorge and falling a distance of 43 meters making a thunderous rain fall is a unique experience you can’t miss. Diner and overnight at either Paraa Safari Lodge (high end/luxurious accommodation), Sambiya River Lodge (medium end classic accommodation), Nile Safari Camp or Red Chili Rest Camp (Low budget accommodation). Approximate driving time is 5 – 6 hours.
Day 3: Murchison Falls
After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive following the Buligi track. This is the park’s prime savanna game viewing area, where you will have chances of viewing the big 5, lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopard and others like Hyenas, Giraffes, Uganda Kobs, Jackson heart beast Birds, sight seeing and other interesting features.
In the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the Nile for 3-4 hours, cruise up to the bottom of the falls. Expect to see a variety of water bird species, such as the Egyptian goose, Fish eagle, white cormorants etc, the Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, water bucks and Elephants quenching the afternoon thirst. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale
Depart from Murchison Falls after an early breakfast and head to Kibale Forest National Park Driving through the great East African Rift Valley. Kibale forest is the largest protected block of rain forest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Gray Cheeked Mangabay, Red Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey etc.
Relax in the evening and have dinner at either Ndali lodge a stunning location over looking a dramatic Crater Lake (high end luxurious accommodation), Rwenzori view guest house (medium end accommodation), or Kanyanchu tourist centre (low budget accommodation). Approximate driving time is 8 – 9 hours.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale
After breakfast, enter the forest in search for chimpanzees the experience is quiet exciting and adventurous. Expect to see other species of primates such as Baboons, Red colobus monkey, Black and white colobus monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Birds like sun birds, Turaco, pitas and other bird species, butter fly species etc. return late afternoon for relaxation or an option of visiting bigodi swamp. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth
Depart from Kibale and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a brief stop at the equator line for photos. Take a game drive on entering the park; expect to see Elephants, Lions, Hyenas, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs and bird species. Dinner and over night either at Mweya Safari Lodge or Jacana Lodge (high end luxurious accommodation), Mweya Students Hostel (low budget accommodation).
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drive to Kasenyi area to look for the lion prides and other wild life such as Uganda kobs, Buffalos, Leopards, Hyenas, Elephants. Kasenyi area is refered to as the Kobs mating grounds and it in this place lions target to grab Kobs. Return to lodge for lunch break. In the afternoon take a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will have a chance of seeing the hippos huffing and spraying mere feet away from the boat, Buffalos lingering at the banks of the water, crocodiles and a variety of water birds species. Dinner and over night at the lodge.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, leave for kyambura gorge for an extra ordinary experience of chimp tracking. Kyambura is a home of many chimp species, birds, and butterfly species. After tracking relax over a drink at the camp before setting off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight at either Mantana Tented Camp (high end luxurious accommodation), Buhoma homestead (medium class accommodation) or Buhoma community camp (low Budget accommodation). Approximate driving time is 4 – 5 hours.
Day 9: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast and briefing from the guide, enter the forest in search for mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest is a home for the rare mountain Gorillas and about 650 individual gorillas left in the whole world half are Bwindi. Tracking may take 2 – 8 hours, depending on the location of the Gorillas. One may walk a short or long distance in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After tracking return to the Camp for relaxation. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
Depart from Bwindi after an early breakfast, and leave for Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is second deepest lake in East Africa, but the deepest lake in Uganda. It’s surrounded with very many hills and has beautiful scenery and over 29 Islands. Dinner and overnight at Bushara Island Camp.
Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi
Early breakfast, you may choose among various activities with a possibility of going with packed lunch. Such as bird watching, Swimming, Sun Bathing, Canoeing and Hill climbing. Return to camp for overnight.
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, leave for Lake Mburo National Park with a brief stop in Mbarara Town for refreshments. Mbarara town is the largest and busiest town in western Uganda. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park with a game drive. Expect to see Zebras, Impalas, Topis, Buffalos, Elephants, and Warthogs among others. Overnight at either Muhingo Lodge (high end luxurious accommodation), Mantana Tented Camp (medium Class accommodation), or (Rwonyo Camp Low budget) accommodation. Approximate driving time is 4 – 5 hours.
Day 13: Lake Mburo – Kampala
After breakfast, take a boat ride on Lake Mburo which is known for having the biggest population of hippopotamus. During 2 hours voyage expect to see Crocodiles, water bird species such as pelicans, heron, cormorant, and fish eagle. Return to camp for lunch break and then head to Kampala with a brief stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir. Overnight at either Serena Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Grand Imperial Hotel, Royal Capital Palace Hotel (Medium class accommodation), Fare way Hotel (low Budget accommodation). Approximate driving time is 4 – 5 hours.
Day 14: Kampala – Jinja
After early breakfast, leave for Jinja with a brief stop at the spectacular Sezibwa Falls which has a unique scenic beauty and a forest walk in Mabira forest. Proceed to the source of river Nile and Bujjagali falls for white water rafting. You will see how those who are rafting are able to conquer the most challenging rapids. Watch the local fishermen and the fantastic birdlife. Return to Kampala for overnight.
Day 15: Departure day
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe airport to later catch your flight back home depending on international flight departure time, safari ends.
