Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Estonia: the medieval Tallinn. Individual arrival to Tallinn. Your guide is scheduled to greet you in your hotel in Tallinn before 6 p.m. (local time). Right after, you shall attend Estonian dinner in a restaurant and participate in a guided tour of the evening Tallinn. Accommodation in a middle class hotel.

Day 2: Estonia: National Park Lahemaa. Free time in the morning. After a bus transfer you shall begin your first bicycle trip through National Park Lahemaa. The Park, one of the last unspoilt regions of the Baltic coast, extends upon over 700 square kilometers. It’s nature is rich and unique. Here you shall observe thick woods, marshes, lakes and waterfalls. Here is the realm of mooses, wild boars and over 220 bird species. Accommodation is situated in the National Park Lahemaa. By bike – about 35 km, by bus – about 75 km.

Day 3: Estonia: Tartu – the second biggest city of Estonia. In the morning we shall ride to Mustvee by bus. There we start a pleasant bicycle trip to Varnja. We shall ride on a beautiful bicycle route by the Peipsi Lake shore. It is one of the biggest lakes in Europe, divided in two by the Russian border. On the road, we pass many fishing villages. We reach our hotel by bus. Dinner and accommodation in Tartu. By bike – about 50 km, by bus – about 165 km.

Day 4: Estonia – Latvia: National Park Gauja. In the morning, a guided tour of Tartu awaits us. Worth seeing objects include the famous Old Town with the classical buildings of the University and the gothic Johann’s Church – built from brick, containing many historical terracotta figures. After a short bus transfer by noon, we ride (partially slightly elevated, height differences up to 280 meters) through the so-called „Estonian Switzerland“ and admire the environment. Finally, we are transferred by bus to Cesis (Latvia). The former Hansa-city, proudly looking back at it’s 800 years of history, lies in the centre of the famous National Park Gauja. Dinner and accommodation in Cesis. By bike about 45 km, by bus about 135 km.

Day 5: Latvia: Cesis - Riga. After breakfast, we take a professionally guided tour of Cesis. Worth seeing are especially the ruins of the castle of the German Order, where the municipal museum is situated nowadays. Before afternoon – bus transfer to Riga, the capital of Latvia. There, a guided tour of the Old Town awaits. Withover 800 renovated Art Nouveau building, elegant boulevards, and small, curvy alleys, the Latvian capital offers a charming, romantic atmosphere. After sightseeing – free time. Accommodation in Riga in a hotel, which lies directly in the Old Twon. Bike-free day, by bus about 85 km.

Day 6: Latvia: Jurmala sea resort. Right after breakfast we ride by bus towards the Baltic. Around Lielupa we begin the bicycle trip. We ride mostly on a bicycle route, leading through Jurmala. On one of the Baltic beaches we have a picknick and take the opportunity to bathe in the sea. We reach our hotel in Liepaja in the late afternoon. Today we dine in a Latvian restaurant, instead of the hotel. Accommodation in Liepaja. By bike about 32 km, by bus about 220 km.

Day 7: Latvia – Lithuania: Klaipeda. After breakfast we leave Latvia by bike and ride directly to Lithuania. We begin our bicycle trip in Sventoji on a beautiful bicycle route to Klaipeda, which lies along the Baltic Coast. On the road we pass Palanga, the renowned Lithuanian sea resort. Here we make a pause and take a walk in the pedestrian area. After arriving to Klaipeda we are taken for a guided tour of the Old Town. We have dinner in a comfortable restaurant in the Old Town. Accommodation in Klaipeda.
By bike about 40 km, by bus about 65 km.

Day 8: Lithuania: Curonian Spit. After breakfast we cross the lagoon by ferry and reach the 68-kilometers long Curonian Spit. Because of the high dunes (up to 60 meters), the locals call it „the Lithuanian Sahara“. On the road, in Juodokrante we make a pause and amidre the bizarre carvings of Lithuanian legends on the Witch Hill. After picknick we ride along the Baltic coast to Nida, the former artistic resort. Dinner and accommodation in Nida. By bike – about 54 km.

Day 9: Lithuania: Nida – dunes and the house of Thomas Mann. In the morning we ride to the highest dunes of the Spit. There, we admire the view of the Baltic and the Curonian Lagoon. From there, we visit the summer house of Thomas Mann (Nobel prize laureate), nowadays a museum. Afternoon is free to your disposal. Dinner and accommodation in Nida, as on day 8. By bicycle about 15 km.

Day 10: Lithuania: Curonian Spit – the bird observatory in Vente. After breakfast we travel by ship (about 2 hours) to the continent. The Curonian Lagoon in this point is over 20 km wide, which makes seeing the opposite shore with a naked eye difficult. We reach the continent by the Minija river and ride by bike to the bird observatory in Vente. Further, we ride through Klaipeda region towards Sakuciai. We reach our hotel in Kaunas – the former capital of Lithuania – in the late afternoon by bus. By bus about 205 km, by bike about 35 km, by ship about 20 km.

Day 11: Lithuania: Trakai – castle upon water and the ancient Vilnius. After breakfast we are transferred by bus to Lithianian lake district. By bike (slightly elevated landscape) we reach Trakai – the famous gothic castle, erected on an island on the Galve lake. After a guided tour, we still have 30 km by bus to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The Old Town stuns the spectator with the beauty and variety of Baroque and Classical buildings. This evening, a festive dinner in one of the restaurants in the Old Town awaits us, including Lithuanian specialties such as Cepelinai, Koldunai, Blinas. By bike about 31 km, by bus about 100 km.

Day 12: Lithuania: end of the tour and individual departure. Individual departure after breakfast. It is possible to extend your stay in Lithuania.

In all cycling days we offer picknick prepared by the NT guides (cold buffet with Baltic fishes, local specialties, also coffee, tea, juice, wine) – the best/the only alternative for lunch.
No picknick is scheduled on 4 days (day 5 in Riga, day 7 in Palanga, day 9 in Nida, day 11 in Trakai). On these days you can visit one of the many restaurants located in those cities.
