Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Kampala - Queen Elizabeth National Park. After breakfast, your safari to Uganda’s second largest National Park will start. You will stop at the Equator for photos and the Equator experience and at the local drum industry. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands with banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle, known for their incredible long curving horns. In the evening, you will take a look at the traditional salt mining at Katwe. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge | Simba Safari Camp (Full Board). Day 2: Wildlife Safari - Queen Elizabeth NP. Early in the morning, wake up for a game drive where you will catch the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. Have breakfast, and relax during the heat of the day as you wait for lunch. A boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which will bring you to a close range with the highest concentration of Hippos and many other animals drinking by the water edges. For bird lover and photographers, this is heaven. On return, you will rest and if willing, you have a walk around the Mweya peninsula for Warthogs, Banded Mongoose, Waterbucks and more. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge | Simba Safari Camp (Full Board). Day 3: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Early in the morning, you will go for a game drive, on return, breakfast will be ready after which the journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas will start. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge | Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Full board). Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi. At 08:00 hours report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by a ranger guide then you will be taken into the sanctuary to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest yet the home to over a half of the world’ mountain gorillas for your tracking experience. The tracking activity takes 2–8 hours, some fitness is required. A guided village walk through the Local Batwa Community in the evening, will be available should you be left with energy. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge | Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Full board) Day 5: Bwindi – Kampala. On the morning of the fifth day, you will have breakfast then get to the journey back to Kampala, lounch enroute. End of Gorillas in Bwindi and wildlife in Queen Elizabeth national park tour.
