Kibale National Park is a renowned primate’s forest. Set at an altitude of 1200m, and covering 766 sq. km. It has the highest number of primate species in Uganda, and one of the highest primate densities and diversities in the world. 13 species of primates live here, among which include; about 600 Chimps, Red colobus monkeys, Black-and white colobus monkey, Redtail monkey, L’hoest’s monkey, Mangabey, Pottos, Olive baboons, extra. The park is ideal for birders because it has upto 375 species of birds recorded. A number of these species endemic to the place in the country! A variety of other creatures including butterflies, Buffalos, and Elephants, have the forest for a home.
Day 1: Kampala - Kibale Forest
Our safari guide will pick and drives you to Kibale Forest National park. On your 4-5 hour drive, you will enjoy a perfect scenic view of Uganda; and in the afternoon, we will arrive in Fort portal town. You will be given a moment of rest then in the evening you will be taken for a guided tour of Fort Portal town. The night will be spent at Ndali Safari Lodge | Kibale Forest Camp (Full board).
Day 2: Chimp Tracking, Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will report to the ranger station and at 08.00hours you will start your Kibale Forest walk in search for man' closest relatives, the Chimpanzees. A variety of primates and other wildlife will be available for your view in the forest. In the evening, you will take a nocturnal primate walk in the forest with expectations to meet pottos and the galagos. The night will be spent at Ndali Safari Lodge | Kibale Forest Camp (Full board).
Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park - Entebbe
After breakfast, with packed lunch, you will be driven to where you were picked or a place of your choice in either Kampala or Entebbe. End of the adventure.
