This safari takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla tracking. There are less than 800 mountain gorillas in the whole world. Uganda is home to more than a half of these beautiful and endangered apes. Therefore, Gorilla tracking in Uganda is a must experience not to be missed. Bwindi impenetrable forest habituates families of mountain gorillas along with more than ten other species of primates for example, Chimpanzees, Colubus monkeys, Olive baboons, extra. Bwindi is also one of the richest forests for flora and fauna in Africa and now here for your adventure.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart from Kampala by road and head south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a short stop at the Equator for an informative talk as well as a photographic opportunity. The journey to Bwindi will take you through beautiful scenery such as the Kigezi highlands. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge | Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Full Board)

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

At 08:00hours report to the ranger station for registration and a briefing by the a ranger guide, then you will be taken into the sanctuary to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest yet the home to over a half of the world’ mountain gorillas for your tracking experience.

The tracking activity takes 2– 6 hours, some fitness is required. Imagine an experience, sitting among the gorillas amidst a forest, listening to them grumble to each other! A guided village walk through the Local Batwa Community in the evening, will be available should you be left with energy. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge | Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Full Board)

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Forest – Kampala

Have breakfast then set off for Kampala with lunch packed.
