Three of the astonishing countries of Southern Africa: Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, conjure up to portray an image of absolute grandeur, unparalleled adventure, elegant style and, for most, anticipation of an exhilarating experience.
All with their own distinct characteristics, they share the vast expanse of African skies, far stretching horizons, and exceptional wildlife.

This is a continent full of adventure, offering the discerning traveller the chance to discover a world beyond his wildest dreams.

This tour was designed especially for those wishing to break away from the everyday chasing after long-lost time, ordinary Christmas cakes and common features of a festive season. This journey was designed in particular to enter 2013 with excitement and a touch of adventure.

Join this group and experience Africa over our festive season, into the New Year!

Day 1: Windhoek – Sossusvlei
Drive straight to the heart of the Namib Desert that will be home for the next 2 days.
Arrive in Sossusvlei, an area marked by the highest dunes in the world.
Their warm colors, ranging from pale apricot to deep red, contrast with the large clay pans at their bases. Visit Sesriem Canyon and photograph the peculiar shapes of the 30-40m (100 foot) deep chasm.
Camping
Lunch, Dinner included
Permit to park included

Day 2: Sossusvlei - Solitaire
Early morning - get up to catch the sun rising over the spectacular dunes… totally breathtaking. Travel to the dunes, watch a spectacular play of light and shadows, and marvel at the colors painted by the rising sun.
Take a short walk to the Dead Valley, a large ghostly expanse of dried white clay punctuated by skeletons of ancient camelthorn trees. Fix your gaze on “Big Daddy”, a dune that rises to 300m (800 feet). The real die-hard sand lovers can climb it all the way. Just 300m? Sure, but make no mistake: this one can literally be a real breathtaker!
Brunch will be made the moment we arrive back at the 4x4 stop.
Those of you that still have energy left are welcome to climb Dune 45, or just chill while the rest is climbing it. Then back to camp to break up before travelling to Solitaire, where Moose’s apple pie is waiting for you… one of those specialities in a place far away from anywhere else.

Permit for Sossusvlei included

Day 3: Solitaire – Walvis Bay – Swakopmund
After breakfast travel between a majestic mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean. Walk along the steep edge of Kuiseb Pass to experience its unique ecology. Continue to Walvis Bay and visit one of the most important wetlands on the African continent. Over 80% of African flamingos feed here. Arrive in Swakopmund and spend the remainder of your day at leisure. Relax or stroll the streets of this idyllic town. Your accommodation will be close to where all the parties take place, so that you are welcome to walk there in the evening.

Day 4: Swakopmund
This morning you have a choice of what you would like to do:

The Marine Cruise: return to Walvis Bay for the cruise along the lagoon. Entertainment can be provided by two types of dolphins - if natures is willing to show them to us - and members of a large seal colony who will climb onto the vessel for a fishy snack.
The Living Desert Adventure: go out with Namibia’s own “Crocodile Dundee”. He will try to (and most likely will) find for you the “Little Five of the Namib Desert” and show you that the desert is indeed alive, even if you won’t see it at first.
