Shining like green stones on a gray back cloth, the 18 islands in the Faroes group are undeniably beautiful in a North Atlantic, buffeted-by-gales and tossed-by-sea kind of way. They are one of those remote places that most people would have trouble spotting on a map, and they get little international press. Despite the remote reputation, they aren't that far away if you're in Europe or Iceland, and some of the most spectacular parts lie within easy reach of the islands' capital, Tórshavn and on Vagar Island. Flight time from Reykjavik is one hour and from Copenhagen its only two hours.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Reykjavik or Copenhagen - Torshavn
Depart Iceland or Denmark for the Faroe Islands. Arrive early afternoon or evening and transfer by bus to the capital Torshavn. Check into the City Hotel Hafnia, a cozy hotel in central Torshavn. Your local guide will greet you at the hotel to explain the

Day 2: Torshavn
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursions offered include a City walk or Ferry to Nolsoy.
Day 3: Torshavn
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursions offered include a walk or bus to the old religious center of Kirkjubour.
Day 4: Torshavn
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursions offered include bus and boat trip to the Village of Vestmanna.
Day 5: Torshavn - Vagar Island
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning an optional excursion of a schooner sail. This afternoon transfer to Vagar Island and Hotel Vagar, a small countryside hotel close to the airport with a good restaurant. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Vagar Island
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursion to the island of Mykines.
Day 7: Vagar Island
Breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Optional hiking excursions today.
Day 8: Vagar Island - Reykjavik or Copenhagen
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning optional bus tour available. This afternoon transfer to the Airport for flight to Reykjavik or Copenhagen.
